Can confirm that new Fire Emblem is fun. It's also long, but that depends on how much micro-managing you want to do. You could probably save a lot of time by leaving things to the AI.

£300 for a Switch, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and £30 Nintendo E-Shop Credit, which I'll put towards pokemon. Gonna pick this deal up I think. Fire Emblem looks so good. Good deal? was tempted to wait until the Switch gets better battery life model soon but I think this is a good deal.

Yep, it's literally the best JRPG on the console by a considerable distance.

Speaking of which i ordered Fire Emblem today, should have it by tomorrow.

Child Of Light. It was free on PS+ years ago, you might have it.

On Persona 5, since you waited so long might as well wait for The Royal expansion and play that at once.

Nah. The 'expansion' is a new edition with a bunch more content, AFAIK, you can't buy it as an expansion and then play the added content, have to buy the new edition and start the game over. Also I don't think it's out in Japan for a few months and not sure if its a simulataneous release WW.

it's a shame because there's a lot of new content but it's sprinkled throughout a 150 hours game..ain't nobody etc

Is P5 really that good? Played P3 on the ps3 so it was pretty dated at that point but it really didn't grab me. Extremely Japanese even if Japanese video games are by far my favourites. Never liked anime jrpgs much but P5 might be my next mistake.

It's one of the best games on the PS4 imo.

I'd shill P5 all day, but it's a time sink. You're looking at 80 hours for a normal play-through, 200+ hours for a platinum (speaking from experience). Gameplay-wise, it's very close to P3, only the dungeon exploration is a tonne more interesting since they went through the effort to craft actual levels, rather than have a randomly-generated one. It's also way more polished, has a busier and more striking aesthetic, and a lot less depressing.

As for The Royal, it's not an "expansion", per se. They're revamping the dungeons, adding new areas and scenes, introducing new mechanics to the battle system, adding more optional content, and expanding the story quite a bit with new characters (including a significant change to the original story). It's going to be the definitive edition of P5. It's slated for 2020 release worldwide, October 31 2019 in Japan.

Yeah it took me 120 hrs iirc.

But it's a turn based JRPG, they're all massive time sinks. You know before you get into one what you're getting yourself into.
