I read that it's one of those games where you do multiple runs like Hades or something? Haven't played that.

I might say fuck it and shell the $70 as i've had no new games since SP:MM. Although the price increase for PS5 games means it needs a minimum length for me to buy it.

Man this game is a must pick if/when you get a PS5. It's like if Bloodborne & Dead Space had a baby, you'll get Returnal.

I'll get it. It's the PS5 that's the problem. I'm not gonna make some Ebay, basement acne kid rich, and it's starting to look like I might have to wait until around fall/winter until we get a new shipment of consoles :facepalm:

Devs wild for no checkpoint system expecting people to do a 2-3hr run in 1 go. You’re also locked from quitting the game and play something else till you die or finish your run Laughing

Atleast you can put it in rest mode and return to where you left.

Welp. I see rest mode still isn't fixed. Got my first green screen thanks to Returnal lack of checkpoint system. Happend on the 6th rest mode.

Guess it's ultra sweatlord time with no quitting until the 2-3hr run is over or death.

I refuse to buy one yet because its better to wait out in case of errors and mainly because I have played a very small total of games on PS4, thus will buy once I finish that cycle.

RG: A friend of mine showed me a game called Mortal Shell. Have you played it? It’s a «Soulsborne» game made by an indie company, that looks and feels surprisingly good. I don’t know why I’ve never heard of it before. My friend told me it’s a relatively short game, but it’s also quite cheap. I figured it would be right up your alley. You might want to check out trailers, at least.

Nah never even heard of it. Not too big on Indie games though tbh so maybe that's why. I'll check it out

Finished Returnal. Sweatiest SP game i’ve ever played. I found it harder than Soulsborne games.

I’ll return for more cycles when they implement a checkpoint system. 2-3hr runs with no save system is brutal.
