SSD/HDD size never was an issue for me, this gen I never had more than 4 games installed at once, always delete single player games when done

This pandemic didn't only lead to a recession, it also forced a lot of people to stay at home and play games, among other things. I wouldn't be surprised if the interest in games in general, increased during lockdown.

Wanted a ps5 on release because my 4 sounding like a Henry Hoover is getting old but I am not paying a single penny more than retail price and i'll happily wait a few months.

i've signed up with like 10 retailers to alert when available but there will always be some pleb refreshing his emails every second 5am in the morning.

Didn't help they played a retarded game of chicken with Microsoft and nobody could pre-order it until 2 months before release lol. Ridiculous situation

Also a special shout out to everyone who shat on gaming for years only to start playing animal fkin crossing during lockdown, deciding gaming's actually fun and ended up competing with us for the new consoles. There's a special place in hell for all of them.

yep, gonna be the same situation as PS4, really irked

wont be able to get one at launch and then they'll be sold out for 3+ months

The queue think was a joke. About 500 odd PS5 to be sold (because it was leftover stock accidentally discovered) and the queue was for over 10k people lol

Having a Twitter alert is more effective than signing up on websites. For my experience personally, he got the Twitter alert from Walmart and I preordered my ps5 within a 1 minute of receiving it. I got the email alert from Walmart after I had pre ordered my console lol.

So my advice forget emails notifications, make sure you have Twitter alerts from the big distributors. There will be other rounds of pre orders, maybe not for day one but within a week or something.

What are you guys planing on getting at/around launch for PS5?

Is Cyberpunk coming out for PS5 as well? I'm trying to think of reasons to rush to get the PS5 at launch. Demons Souls seems to be the big one.

cyberpunk is coming out for PS5 at launch but I don't think it's upgraded? said it'd get an ehancement patch next year, I think..

Demons is really the only reason, I'll probably wait unless I can buy one day 1 without pre-ordering, which seems completely unrealistic

Horizon 2 is coming to the PS4 too, I think I'm gonna wait and then buy a PS5 special edition for something, like GOW2 or whatever, never actually owned one because I usually get a console at launch

Technically not, it's coming out on PS4 the same day as PS5 release.

You'll be able to play it on PS5 because Backwards Compatibility and they'll be realising a PS5 upgrade at some point for free.

Same, will get it when a decent bundle comes out. Thats what I did in 2015, bought a Bloodborne+TLOU Remastered+PS Plus bundle at $400. Still a lot of games I can play on PS4 in a year like Cyberpunk, Yakuza 7, Horizon 2, Spiderman Miles Morales, Hogwarts, Hitman 3, AC Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Gotham Knights, Elden Ring, Mafia Remake etc. The only non-cross gen games that interest me are Demon Souls and Resident Evil 8.

They're 2021 at earliest games, I'm increasingly thinking it isn't worth it to get it on launch.

Finished Everyone has Gone to Rapture.

Absolutely beautiful game that had me revisit a side of England that I very much miss, and England as a whole.

Yes its a walking simulator in the purest sense with no gameplay at all but beautifully told, rendered, and wrapped up all in four to five hours.

Small indie games like these have been my thing as of recent due to time constraints and more for tiny pockets of escape from a hectic month.

Highly recommend it.
