Yeah I think so. Good thing for next gen owners is that most of the games already have higher resolution and detail capability built into them as per the PC version.

PS5 reviews are out.

TLDR: SSD is ludicrously fast but the Controller is the real star apparently.

Nice.

You got D2 right? Picked it up during ps+ monthly but never dl’d it. Going to get it upgraded next month with the new expansion. Tom also getting the xpack.

First expansion since the split from Activision.

He is? I haven't been on lately because i don't really feel like playing anything.

If everyone is jumping on the expansion you can count me in too.

I don’t know how interested you are, Mole, but the first post- Kazuma Kiryu Yakuza game comes out on the 10th of this month. The combat seems quite a bit different from the other games in the series.

Yeah don’t blame you. In D1 in fifa trying to finish it before PS5 before i’m done with it and halfway through Tomb Raider.

Planning to go into PS5 without cod & fifa unless they become good again (doubtful) Not picking up Cold War though.

Also it looks like TLOU2 MP will be a standalone game so i’m excited for that.

I was, but then i read some reviews saying some late game bosses require a lot of JRPG style grind.

Which I'm not really looking forward to go, if enough people tell me it's fine then I'll get it yeah.

Played Yakuza 3-6 over the past few months (played 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2 before).

What a wild series. A seven game saga that is comparable to gaming epics like MGS. Have to say though 0-2 is the series high point. Some things in 3-6 are a bit too ridiculous even for the Yakuza series (CIA, rubber bullets, the climax of Yakuza 5, playing NFL with an infant as the ball) and there are a lot one off characters who never ever return or are mentioned again.

Reviews of 7 are great both from critics and fans. Will definitely buy it but for the PS4, gonna be a while till I get the PS5.

7 is quite good, but the story doesn't quite take off until you're well into the game. I think it's one of the slower paced games in the series.

According to Multiplayer.it, the DualSense’s battery only lasted for two hours when playing Astro’s Playroom.

The title is very intensive with its haptic feedback but there have been other figures going around. Dave Lee on YouTube states about four hours of battery life from the controller when playing Astro’s Playroom, though this was from leaving it running in an area that produced consistent feedback. Otherwise, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales offered five and a half hours of life since its haptic feedback was relatively normal.

That's poor for the supposedly "increased capacity". Moar features, moar battery drain..

5 and a half hours in a normal game, sounds good to me. I doubt I’ll be playing Astro’s Playroom, or any other game that constantly demands/consumes energy through the Haptic feedback feature, very often, if at all.

What is haptic feedback? How is it different to vibrations?

Can't understand a concern about a few hours of battery life. It's not difficult to be near a usb port to charge it while playing, in case you will really play more than a few hours nonstop.

It’s already been announced here that stores won’t be selling them until next year. And that’s fine, I guess. I’ll just play Cyberpunk on current gen in the meantime.

Expected Spiderman to be full price over here which was a no go considering its 7-10 hr length.

Surprised stores are selling it for half the price so def first game I will play on PS5. Getting the Pulse headset tomorrow. Now I just need to get my hands on the console smh

Having totally fallen for the hype, ill try to get a ps5 after all. There is a shop here that instead of doing preorders, they will just sell their stock at launch (online reservations and pick up). So I'll give it shot with them.

Was going to buy on release but from what I've seen from USA bots instantly buy out the online stock so it's a no go

Because of fucking covid I can't just go out and wrestle people for a console either

I just want to play games without hearing the equivalent of a Henry hoover on my desk for the first time in years bro's Sad

We have bot problems here aswell but nothing too major. Still trying to get one asap as i’m beyond bored of PS4 and the lack of games.

Atleast with PS5 I can play new ones, replay old ones and unplayed ps4 games with better quality.

Also DS2 expansion PS5 version out next week which I will put some hours in.
