I can't help but feel bad for Arsenal. 40m in the transfer budget and they need at least 1 CB (I would say 2), a LB, and a RW. 40m won't even get you half of 1 good player these days. Not when you can only attract them with the idea of Europa League.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal finished 8th-10th next season.

We're yet to appeal. We're considering just taking the ban now and there are some reports that if we appeal after this transfer window, the ban length might be lowered to just the one window served.

Would be smarter to take the ban in january since the winter market is usually of lesser quality.

Havertz is of course no. 1, but we'll be getting him next summer, that I'm quite confident about.

Havertz is also a few years younger so I shoudln't have said generation but 'age group'.
Fact is Sané is exactly the player that we need in our current situation, and that we needed 3 years ago, and both times our club managed to fuck it up because their valuation is just too low.
If you want a player like Sané, AND WE MUST WANT HIM, we need to be prepared to pay more than 80m €. Simple as. Just as you say.
