Congratulations @Firenze. Whatever the state of your club is, getting rid of Mourinho is always a step in the right direction.
Now, sign Zidane and win the CL

Re: Next Manchester United manager?
Think it's going to be Pochettino.
As I said, Mourinho will go to Real, taking that perspective off Poch's table, and Woody needs a win so he'll agree to pay for Poch in summer.

Levy will not release Pochettino to go coach United, over his dead body.

Calling a man who's won the Tippeligaen twice in a row with a mid-table team below average.
Terrific sign of intent from Man United.

Re: Next Manchester United manager?
Doesn't matter who comes. They lack quality. Matic, Lukaku, Loldelöf, Jogba, Mata etc., reads like a Europa League squad.
Only Klopp and Simeone can turn average teams into contenders. The rest of the coaches these days can't survive without quality.
What's so special about Poch for example? Had Espanyol in relegation places before Spurs, run-of-the-mill La Liga coach. Give him Lukaku and Fellaini instead of Kane and Eriksen and he won't make top 4 either.

Kinda want them to take Paulo Sousa so that we don't get him if EDF gets the sack. Better them than us.

This is your Zidane @Firenze It'll be fine. It's fine. It's totally fine.

Changed my mind and I agree with you. This is the beginning of a new, great era.
It's basically official now, btw. He will be manager of Manchester United for the rest of the season, at least.

Can see a similar story happening
Solskjaer winning the CL as both player and manager
hope we get Bayern in the final

Don't tell anyone I said this, but there's more chance you indeed win the CL with Solksjaer against whomever than us getting past Liverpool in the last 16

Re: Next Manchester United manager?
Except it's completely fucking nonsense. Mourinho consistently made his players worse.
Where as everyone in the top 6 is making the players they have better than they were before they managed them.
Guardiola, Klopp, Sarri, Pochettino and Emery, all of them have taken the talent they have to degreeing levels and improved them.
Mourinho has made them worse, that alone is a sackable offence. Anyone who refuses to see this and open their eyes to evidence in front of them can bury their heads in the sand if they want but just know you ain't living in reality.
Oh to answer the question directly, what would Pochettino do with Lukaku ? He probably wouldn't buy him to begin with because you know Mourinho actually bought him, you don't get to buy a player and be absolved of blame when said player doesn't perform.
As for Fellaini, he only plays because Mourinho is a dinosaur and prefers kicking people over actual talent. They have much better options who are totally ignored because Mourinho is incapable of actually coaching attacking football so again Fellaini wouldn't play under Pochettino.
Never knew there were so many people who want to make excuses for a manager who has failed to stop his players regressing much less improving them.
Because you know the no 1 job of a manager which he failed to do so spectacularly.

Lol Ole. Might as well given the reign to McKenna if this was their plan. Anyway, will fully back the legend.
Hope we wont be in a situation come February where we are forced to look at a Fat Sam or a Moysie to save our season.

Re: Next Manchester United manager?
We can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as caretaker manager until the end of the 2018/19 season.
— Manchester United (@ManUtd) December 19, 2018
He will be joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, together with Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna. #MUFC
His first game in charge? A return to Cardiff. Then he has home games against Huddersfield and Bournemouth.
Pretty easy run of games to ease his way in.

I don't recall this big a club hiring a manager and calling him straight up "caretaker" manager. Manager was shit but PR is also shit
