I'm sure of RG's top 5, just unsure of the order. Bloodborne, Witcher 3, MGS V, Dark Souls 3 and Nioh. If he counts BioShock this gen, then Infinite over Nioh.

It was hard to decide between UC4 and GOW but UC4 wins due to sentimental value

I actually didn't love Nioh @m99 i remember rating it 8/10 because of how repetitive it was.

Only played about an hour of DMC5. Got work tomorrow, so I've gotta hit the sack already. Game seems like pretty much what I expected it to be, thus far. And that's a good thing Smile

Nioh's combat was far better than Souls game. The stances, bow and arrow, others items like ninja stars gave it much more depth. The first half was amazing but then it started to drag. There were way too many human bosses in the latter stages of the game and quite a lack of enemy variety. Definitely still looking forward to Nioh 2.

That doesn't really mean anything, most user scores are from trolls and little kids.

It's very rare that a popular game actually has a high user score because of this, it's no more of an indication of anything than the press reviews are.

Most of them are in the 8 range, with some games like Overwatch which is a 6 lol.

Not many games are above 9 because most people who vote have some sort of agenda lol.

With that analogy GoW should have gotten a low score too but currently stands at 9.1 on user ratings.

I don't think there was any agenda to review bomb it, except from a minority of people. And every game has those, not just RDR2.

GoW is a ps4 exclusive, not the same as a multiplatform game which didn't come to PC because Rockstar wants more money.

You have to also consider the history behind the first game not going there either, not like I'm making this up going up to release there was full of people who were hating because it's not on PC.

Like i said user reviews are full of people with agendas, it's not a coincidence that the only game with the same score is Witcher 3 because there's literally no group that the game pisses people off.

Trusting userscores is rather arbitrary given in the gaming world we actually have people fighting for console supremacy despite it having a cumulative outcome of ZERO within their obviously hollowed out lives.

We know what they are and the examples so no need to discourse further into it yet we all know why something such as Red Dead Redemption 2 will score lower given Rockstar by this point is an unstoppable locomotive who's true prized possession is RDR2 as a signal of how far they've come and beyond from mindless games; and the hype it incurred has simply put; upset many people.

They do not want such a game to be top. Its a direct threat to the video game that they cherish and hype so much as they cannot stand that they are wasting their time on a video game that is inferior to another.

When people do get around to entertaining themselves with that said game, their opinion changes massively.

So as Mole said it really is a matter of agendas and its littered all over GL from the desire to see Pep fail to English and Italian teams to a winning team.

Just the society we are in and a product of saturation in such circumstances.

You can't be that oblivious to this, it happens all the time. Hell i remember Horizon players review bombing Zelda because they were threatened by it and vice versa.

User reviews in general are just full of angry idiots with nothing better to do than bomb reviews of things they don't like.

The original RDR is a legendary game, I can tell you most avid PC players would love to see it on PC. You can hate the fact that it is not on PC, but you can't hate it because it is a wonderful game. On the contrary I don't think RDR2 has as many fans on PC, or even consoles.

Review bombings are impulsive and not long lasting. They might skew the variance at release but over the course of time the average ratings get close to what they really should be, as above suggests.

That's still a 12 score drop off lol, one of the biggest for a highly reviewed game apart from Overwatch which is a 60 lmao and i think you can guess why so I'm not sure what point you're making.

Imagine actually trusting random idiots who can't spring a few sentences, user reviews are just full of people who are just looking to hate.

Because people who enjoy something simply don't give a shit, just read a few of them and you'll see it. Not particularly sure why this is a thing, internet is full of people with no lives looking to bitch and these cespool of idiots should be ignored at all costs.

I understand the reaction to Overwatch. Online only games are more prone to review bombings, an update to a game can cause uproar in the community or a poor match/matched against a cheater does get that impulsive nature of review bombing going. Hell I know people who have 2000 hours clocked on Counter Strike and still leave a negative review on Steam Laughing

Zelda is still 'Great' whereas RDR2 is 'Good' on the average ratings, so the user reviews doesn't really concern me here. Besides I get why people would not give Zelda full marks. I understand Zelda is technically an AAA title but it is still a quirky game that might not appeal to the average gamer, so it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Nah it's been review bombed because of all the LGBT stuff.

Also with Red Dead i'm not just talking about the overall score, just read a lot of the individual reviews.

You got stuff like 0/10 because it's not GTA, 5/10 because they don't like snow, 4/10 based on first two hours etc etc.

Imagine actually paying attention to idiots like this, the only semi-negative review i saw that i respected was some guy giving it a 7 but he actually explained in detail why he wasn't a massive fan which is fair enough.

The rest of them where stupid and not worth wasting time on.
