Didn't realise there was another far cry coming out lol.

Hope it flops tbh, some legitimately good games coming out around it which deserves success way more.

Another year, another Far Cry reskin. Ubisoft basically reskined the old FC5 map like they did with Primal and sell it under a new game. There must be people buying this trash otherwise why would they continue their shameful recycling practice.

They are not marketing it as a sequel though. It is what Blood Dragon was to 3 and Primal to 4. Its not being priced $60. I'm interested in it because the protagonist and antagonist from 5 return but the gameplay I've seen looks very un-Far Cry like.

I don't know why people act like FC comes out every year like Assassins Creed. Far Cry 4 was released in 2014, I played it on Xbox 360 They took almost four years for the sequel. I never bought Blood Dragon and Primal, if you don't like spending money on expansions then just don't buy them.

Primal was not a standalone title. Blood Dragon was great, but it had a cool and creative 80s action flick parody theme. That upcoming Far Cry just doesn’t look appealing to me.

Primal was a full on Far Cry game lol.

Blood Dragon is the only game which fits your description tbh.

I Wrote «Far Cry was not an expansion», then I edited it to «Far Cry was a standalone title», but evidently forgot to remove «not»

I wonder how convoluted it actually is lol, you hear stuff all the time but it can't be that hard to follow surely lol.

Just read that Metro Exodus is going to be Epic exclusive, until 2020, which they can overrule anytime. Steam presales is still going to work, so it's going to be little messy. Competition is always good, but this kind of exclusive dealing doesn't sound healthy, in already shitty gami... money grabbing market.

The problem is that I have skipped most of the games, so I'm bound to be somewhat lost. I've only played KH1, 2, and Days. So I'm definitely gonna be lost since I skipped BBS and DDD. Watched a great youtube video summarizing the stuff a while back to catch up.

Also correct me if i'm wrong but i feel like the real reason people are complaining about it is because they have 100s ( sometimes thousands) of games on Steam and people don't want to switch back and forth.

That's one reason. I hate installing Rockstar when I'm feeling GTAV, and always uninstall it afterwards. Don't know how this helps competition, when they could've simply competed with price, and people would choose which platform to use. And it also prevents people like me bying it in launch, as it's not a good enough game for me to install another app and divide my gaming library. Bethesda is going to roll their own store with TESVI, I'm pretty sure with that, and others will follow, so that's the future for us.

It's great fun. KH1 was great when it came out and then KH2 improved the combat and gameplay all around. Super fun to play and there's a lot of charm and moments.

The problem (for me) was how they decided to make every game on a different console and then the story was impossible to follow for most people. They released the collections for the PS4 so it can all be played in one console now, but it's still remastered portable games and I can't be bothered at the moment.

Replayed KH1&2 last year, watched some videos to stay in the loop about the other games, ready to get this after work.

Bethesda already did this with Fallout 76 and they are doing it with their future titles like Rage 2 and Wolfenstein Youngblood. As did EA with Origin a decade back and Ubisoft with uPlay, although the case with Ubisoft is different as they still kept their presence on Steam (and introduced their titles to Origin too) in parallel with uPlay.

The case with Epic is more radical and aggressive as they are actually trying to be Steam's direct rival. I can see their optimism and ambitions after the huge money they have made from Fortnite. Epic have already signed an exclusivity deal with Ubisoft to have Divisions 2 (and other unannounced upcoming titles) to Epic Store and not Steam. The Metro Exodus deal is a timed-exclusive and I'm happy to skip this title until it launches on Steam as I don't like promoting such aggressive practice.

I have most my games on Steam and I like how everything is all in one launcher, like a console. Your saved games are on Steam Cloud if you have different machines to play on, or if you uninstall a game and you want to come back to it a year later. Your achievements are all kept in one place. The user reviews and forums are also great. Especially as we have more compatibility issues on PC titles on different machines and the forum has always proven to be a good place to solve them.

But slowly AAA developers and publishers are moving away from Steam and on to their own launchers. Steam recently changed their policy to reward AAA titles more giving them a bigger cut. They must be feeling the heat from Epic but I don't think their ungenerous offer is enough to stop this wave. And I wouldn't be surprised that in a few years you'd only get indie developers on Steam store with all the big publishers moved out. And Valve only got themselves to blame for not adjusting to the ever evolving market tbh.

Hah shows how shit that game was when I've already forgotten that they brought their store with it. Yeah, no more Bethesda games in other stores either. Although TESVI will be the one probably to divide my library.

Using that logic Brotherhood wasn't a full on assassins creed tbh which is obviously not true.

Looks way more interesting than i initially thought, especially on the gunplay side as it looks really fast and smooth.

I suspect the missions and and story will bw eh but the gameplay looks way more interesting than i was expecting.

Vaporware looks freaking amazing, what the fuck is taking so long?
