Respawn (Titanfall, MW1, MW2 devs) have released a F2P BR game called Apex Legends. Apparently its really good, people who are playing are really liking it. I'm DLing it right now, any of you lads interested?

Oh I just realised it's a battle royale style game...

I don't remember the last time a trend became so huge in gaming. RTS in the 90s? MMOs in the noughties? Even CoD, GTA and BF have battle royale modes to compete. And they are everywhere. On consoles, PC, I even heard they got them for mobile devices!

I think I would have liked Battle Royale when I was in my late teens, early twenties, but I was already in my late twenties when it blew up and I've never really cared for it. Also, like dany mentioned - it's everywhere. Some of my students were playing Fortnite on their phones during recess last year. I couldn't turn anywhere without seeing Fortnite characters. And then, Call of Duty adopted the Battle Royale formula. And PUBG was released for Playstation.. it's like being forced to listen to an annoying pop song constantly being played on the radio and at parties. Yes, I'm getting old Razz

Combat is fun AF (satisfying as hell to pull off combos and see your rank improve in real time) and the boss at the end of the demo was a nice tease for what's to come.

Finished KH3, man the game really hit me in the feels, i think its well documented that im a KH fanboy, played almost every game. But that ending almost brought me to tears.. its hard to explain, like i have such an emotional attachment to this series since i played it as a kid.

Man i love gaming, so fortunate to be born in this era

Started Baldrus Gate Trilogy again as it got a major update, and Legacy of Bhaal difficulty is tougher than before. Took about 30h to finish BG1 as solo Cleric/Mage with LoB and SCS.

Game looked exceptionally corny

but I understand if you've been a fan of the series for a decade or more

Can't imagine jumping in as an adult and enjoying it however..

anyone tried Apex Legends? cbf with FPS games nowadays but it looks pretty high quality for F2P, which shouldnt be surprising..gonna be the trend going forward.

Yeah its fun. Smooth gunplay and movement of Titanfall and they made a lot of pressing improvements to the BR formula. Its much easier to communicate with randoms than any other shooter I played.

Been avoiding every single review of the game so I can play it in peace. Just like you, been a fan of this series since it came out and played almost all (never touched Birth by Sleep).

Lads in Asia broke the street dates of Metro Exodus and Far Cry ND. Not gonna get those for a while though (in the case of Far Cry, maybe never).

DMC5, Sekiro and Days Gone the only absolute's for me, in no rush for Metro but It's something I may play in the future

Days Gone is gonna be huge, trust, there seems to be a lack of hype online for it but I'm certain it'll be worth a play

I agree, also the way the trailers have been in tone i think the story is going to be better than people expect.

Was considering Sekiro, but after trying Bloodborne recently (because Tom thought we could co-op the whole game together lol) i realised i hate the save system, I'd have no problem dying 100 times to same enemy if the save system wasn't so archaic.

DMC is 100% day 1 though, demo really impressed me.
