The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
Man United favourites to sign him
Zinedine Zidane has revealed Gareth Bale is unhappy in Madrid amid speculation the Welsh forward could leave this summer. (Sunday Mirror)
What position will Bale play ?
Whose shirt number will be sacrificed for Bale ?
Is he good enough to play LB again ?
Will he have more dabs than playing minutes ?
Pls discuss

He's finished. Will either join Serie A (only Juve can afford him realistically) where he will have another decade of prime years or go to America. I can also see him joining Spurs again and taking a wage cut.
We aren't signing this scrub..but I'd take him at 40m or so.
ufff

It aint a war for me. Its a war for Man United and their fans.
Imagine not letting Madrid sign De gea but taking a multiple
Never mind being humiliated by Sevilla on the pitch this year or potentially Basel next year, what's important is Man United keep winning the transfer war and this signing would be a huge victory for them IMO. Will feel happy for their fans. They deserve it.

I'm actually very worried that we will sign him..I like to think we're smarter than that. I hope Madrid are greedy and ask like 80m lol. It's completely different from the Sanchez signing as Sanchez isn't injury prone and was only a few months removed from a great season. Bale has been trash for years now.

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
He could be very good in the EPL again
As much as I'd love him back at Spurs, idk if it would work. Kane takes a Cristiano amount of shots now (maybe not quite that much, but it's a lot), and Bale at Spurs had that job. Bale was also best in the free role, and didn't have to do a whole lot of defending -- that wouldn't fly at this Spurs. His wage demands would also be too absurd for a club that's trying its best to keep wages under control. His signing would also mean that one of Dele, Eriksen, Son, leaves for sure as well. Not to mention his injury record
Just not sure he fits. If Spurs find themselves selling one of Dele, Eriksen, Son then it might be worth a go if he takes a huge paycut. However I'd be skeptical.
If he could go back to LB he could be immense for Spurs tho tbh

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
Bale isn't that bad, and he'd be even better in the EPL. He was the EPL's best player when he was sold.
His biggest problem is injuries. Which is worrisome for sure. However, a lot of disrespect here

The only player less enjoyable to watch is Lucas Vazquez.

Lmao thought this was the war to get rid of Bale. Who ever takes him will be the biggest laughing stock of all-time. I bet he regrets now PEDding up and ruining his legs, and his career.

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
i think the plan for United is to sell Martial and to sign Bale, this will make everyone happy.
Bale wants to leave, madrid are happy to sell
united and mou want bale, and we will work out a deal with them.
he will wear number 11 like giggsy and will be the highest paid player in premier league history

He is a quality player, don't know what the fuss is about.
So what he is injured all the time - being unhappy DOES that to your body

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
It's so long ago that I don't even remember when it was, when I said he's taking steroids, and will be ruining his legs in the process. I think it was summer of 2014 when Wales didn't feature in WC and he had time off. And as usual I'm always right. It would be an absolute disaster for anyone to sign him with his wages and the proposed fee. I don't think anyone is that stupid, but we'll see.

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
If we're smart, we do everything in our power to feature Bale the rest of La Liga... make him look better than the fraud that he is.
Benzema too... although I don't think it's humanly possible to make him look good at this poiint.

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
i would have agreed that we should do everything to make them look good so we can sell at a good price.....but when substitute right backs are commanding 30 million euro fees, i'm not too worried
and bale's pride would never permit him to return to spurs (that's if they can even sign him)

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
Chelsea are in a dire need of a big name goalscorer upfront but considering they wont make CL next year, that option seems to have fizzled out too.
United are the only realistic option or he might as well stay at Madrid as an (expensive) backup sub player.

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
I don't see any PL club seriously being in for him, I could actually see him at PSG tbh, maybe Milan if they have real money to spend in the summer, I could see an aging Bale wanting to go to a team he's the undisputed superstar, Milan is still an attractive place to play and live for B+ players. Of course it's possible we are dumb enough to sign him, but I'd be pretty shocked. I also think if he goes to Serie A its longevity for his career, PL is too physical for him now.. He's approaching 30, shit fitness and lost his pace.

Re: The Man United war | Featuring Gareth Bale
you are lying to yourself if you dont think Mourinho is angling this Fi, come on now. Mourinho loves him and fits his idea of a pacy winger who scores goals to perfection. Bale walks in your team right now
