That’s not gonna happen. He was interested in the Riddler, but WB didn’t want to give him the money he demanded.

Could see Serkis as Penguin tbh. Unless Venom takes up too much time.

It's nuts to me how Disney managed to get him for their crappy Star Wars trilogy, but haven't yet gotten him into the MCU.

Perhaps this is an unpopular opinion, but I consider the prequels better and that's saying something given how poor Lucas' writing was overall for them. They were a lot more fun to watch than these first 2 from the new trilogy.

And yeah you're right, he's Ulysses Klaue. I stand corrected. A big character in the Black Panther comicbooks, but utterly forgettable in the movie itself. Would prefer to see Serkis take on a larger villain role if that's how they're going to cast him.

Jonah hill would have been a poor Riddler. Not even keen on him being the penguin. Don't think he has it in him to do such a role.

Wanted Tennant/Hader as riddler but this guy looks good too with appearance.

would classify it as an epic, period drama set in the outback of America. Easily one of the best made films of this century.

I don't feel anything towards the rest of his filmography, except for liking the style and tones of Magnolia and Phantom Thread.

Marvel getting into the Bourne world, I see.

Beyond that, it looks solid. Scarjo's stunt double, Heidi Moneymaker (GOAT name btw) is fantastic.

Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz makes me want to watch though.

Find it weird for everyone to have Russian accents when she doesn’t. I know she’s supposed to be a spy trained in accents. Code-switching is still a real thing though, and I don’t buy her not speaking in a different manner when she’s with her family.

Great counter point.

I just think the visual identity of MCU movies, that was established with Winter Soldier basically, has made them so stale-looking. Also really don't see the appeal in watching a Black Widow movie. They've done nothing interesting with the character through 10 movies, and now we get a solo-movie where it looks like every other movie.

They could have at least taken it somewhere different, made it more intimate.

There's no need to call me out for my opinions on these movies really. I know you won't accept anyone not loving every single MCU movie like you do. And that's fine.

Who said I love every single MCU movie lol? The earlier Thor films, Iron Man 2+3, Ant Man & The Wasp are all meh as fk for me. Also I felt visually this looks way better than all the garage palette cinematography of MCU movies like Civil War. And I don't see how it looks like any other movie, this movie is giving a lot of Winter Soldier vibes which I loved.

And don't whine about people calling you out, you jump on everyone who says the slightest negative things about movies you love. Writing an opinion on the Star Wars thread is like navigating a minefield.

She’s gotten much better at least. Her English is much better than the last movie and I feel that’s her only glaring weakness.

I find it hard to judge how much it is her language skills and how much is her acting. I guess a combination seems likely.
