Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Strangely enough, I'm just not pumped up for FFH. It's not a Day 1 movie for me as it stands. I'm sure that will change at some point, but right now, I'm utterly ambivalent to it. It looks good, but nothing about it has me running to go see it.
I think I'm still fatigued from Endgame honestly.

Andy Muschetti (IT 1&2) will direct the Flash movie and Christina Hodson will write.
Seems like they finally have a team in place that gets projects made.

Far From Home 6/10, didn't like Mysterio, story felt very shallow. Best parts were the Dream/nightmare sequences. Felt the first one was much better.

The movie is insane and I loved it but i maintain my stance from a few days ago, what they're doing to Spiderman as a character is tragic.

Pretty much same but maybe 5/10. It was really quite bad. Not even funny. it's clearly targeted towards kids and that's fair enough as that's where the money is. Felt like they rehashed the first one but just different set pieces.
I am not a big fan of homecoming but it was miles better.
Huge fan of Jake but really wish he hadn't done Mysterio. Waste of a role when he could have done something better in MCU/DCEU.
definitely belongs in the lowest tier of MCU

Great movie. Jake killed it as Mysterio. The illusion sequence was fantastic. Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal were really damn good. Also best depiction of Spider-sense in any Spiderman movie so far.
I do agree with Valk on the character arc though. Peter should really be his own hero who beats villains and saves the day through his own ingenuity and skills rather than be so reliant on Stark tech and stuck up on living up to Iron Man. GTFO he has always been Marvel's premier hero treat him like that. Was alright with it in Homecoming but it has gone for too long now.

lol there goes secret identity. Had to with such a ridiculous amount of people knowing it. Spiderman 3 gonna be interesting. Guessing its gonna be a Kraven's Last Hunt adaptation unless Sony still wants to do spinoff film themselves.

Could also be some government pleb initiating the sinister six group.
Vulture will definitely return i think, in Iron Boy 3. Either to help Peter or lead sinister six.

RG and Cuckadin have clearly lost their touch imo.
It's definitely my favourite and significantly better than homecoming.
Until last night (i watched Infinity War, aka DBZ cell saga the movie) Both Spiderman films were literally the only MCU films I've seen though
Edit: I've seen both Captain America films too, the order I'm doing this in is pretty crazy lmao.

It was great. This is one of the best portrayals of teenagers in a long time in a big budget movie.
The Peter and MJ relationship is incredible and the first time I’ve bought a Spider-Man romance as being realistic in a good way.
Garfield and Emma Stone has great chemistry but that whole relationship was weird and stalkery and emo.
Really love Tom Holland’s Peter so much. Next best spider-man after Jake Gyllenhaal

A lot of stuff coming out of Comic Con right now.
Most surprising is that Natalie Portman will return, and wield the hammer apparently.

Also think Far From Home is the best Spidey film to be made, granted I have special place in my heart for Tobey and Sam Raimi's first one.
Tom Holland is easily the best Spider-Man as well.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Just got around to seeing it today. Was great, as expected. Exactly what a post-Endgame movie should look like to wrap up Phase 4.
As for the stuff coming out in Phase 2....I love Mahershala's casting as Blade. I'm holding out hope it doesn't mean the Netflix shows are not canon, but that hope will probably fade fast. Very excited to see Fantastic 4 and X-Men finally get done correctly as well. Awesome stuff.
EDIT: Phase 4 . Thanks Freeza.

It’s phase 4
I’m so happy Feige confirmed they’re working on X-Men and F4.
They’ve shown they can make a teenage movie in the Spider-Man films, and the X-Men are just suited for a movie in that style. We’ve never gotten that kind of X-Men movie. Would be incredible.

I watched Thor: Ragnarok last night.
The Hulk and Thor interactions were insanely hilarious.
I've only really got End Game, Dr Strange, Black Panther, Civil War and Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 of the films i have left i want to bother with.
My order is definitely going to be the strangest in history of mankind though.

How are you not gunna watch the best Marvel film in Infinity War.
I truly recommend watching Civil War, Infinity War and then Endgame to get the real Russo Brothers experience. You won't be disappointed.
On the side, if you wanna watch a GOTG movie, watch the first one
