Realise though that the large majority of draft picks between 11 and 30 are utter crapshoots.

The fact you were arguing for Buddy Hield and Malik Monk says it all.

In the scenario you paint we are arguably worse off and still don't have cap space to sign FAs which is literally the best thing about draft picks outside the top 10.

No one player is doing that, not even LeBron.

But he's clearly a very impactful player who makes a big difference though, you only have to look at Minnesota with him and without him to see that.

But I have to admit I've drank the koolaid and really excited for the season to start.

Even if I expect it to be the most annoying season ever because of the Davis stuff.

Iverson really impacted the NBA. Everyone has sleeves now.

Also Lonzo has at least been working out during his injury time. Sadly he won't be up to fitness for the season since he's only just been cleared to play, but still no scrimmaging.
