Re: The Official Roma Thread
It's not the schedule but the mental strength (or the lack of that) which matters. Majority of Roma players stopped turning-up after the 25th round which caused some pretty scandalous results.Robespierre wrote:Roma are going in Champions League, sign my words
Their calendar is easy on paper
Inter
Cagliari (H)
Genoa
Juve (H, already Scudetto winners )
Sassuolo
Parma (H)

Re: The Official Roma Thread
I mean that's an easy run in on paper, but let's be honest guys.....when have we ever made anything easy for ourselves?
We'll drop points to Inter, Sassuolo, and Juve for sure. We may have beaten Samp at the Marassi, but I don't know if we'll repeat that against Genoa so that's 50/50. Parma and Cagliari depend almost entirely on who gets fielded, especially in defense.
Trust me, we'll make this run-in as difficult for ourselves as we can. It's the Roma way.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
It wasn't lost on a lot of Romanisti this weekend that our 2 most-maligned players (Pastore and Fazio) both scored goals that won us this match. Both will likely be gone this summer and I think that's still the right decision, but it's good to see them rebound.
Another take away from this match: Luca Pellegini didn't look great at LB. His team may have sucked, but it would've been preferable for him to put in a great shift anyway to impress and make a statement for the position next year ahead of Kolarov. Didn't work out and he was handled easily.
One Cag player who didn't do his stock any harm was probably Cragno. Nothing he could do on all 3 goals, but he's going to be on our transfer list pretty much all summer. I don't expect much to come of that though.
Oh and we got a cameo from the "Next Luka Modric" Ante Coric, who played a hand in Kolarov's goal at the end. I'd like to believe this is a sign of things to come for him, but he too may not be here come September. I have a feeling this is Tin Jedvaj all over again.

Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) are currently in ongoing negotiations to buy AS Roma, according to Le Parisien.

I was reading rumours about Conte having an agreement with Roma.
Would he seriously accept Roma if there were no significant investment coming through?

Yes but it might be the only way to stop juve's dominance. he is the only manager that can win Scudetto instead of juve

Re: The Official Roma Thread
There Is so much difference of squads between Juve and rest, It is as PSG in France
Anyway I can't see Pallotta to give this salary for a coach. It Is the exact opposite of his way of doing
Still I don't think Arabians rumours are credible

And Monaco won the title 2 years ago ahead of PSG
If anyone can do it, it's Mourinho, but I think it's better to try it with Inter than Roma unless Roma gets a financial injection

Duncan Castles is a bum until i deem otherwise IMO.
Especially because Nick likes him so that just furthers the narrative that he doesn't know shit imo.

As if Conte does not exist
Imagine thinking Mourinho in 2019, or 2020 for that matter, will win a league anywhere

Just a Milanese team will break Juve supremacy a day, sign my words
I never believe to Roma or Napoli ..
It will be Inter or Milan imho
Anywyay Sky doesn't confirm these rumours and it insists on Conte as first choice for Roma
Well it'd be great choice too
Even though a character as Conte can collide with that schizofrenic Roman environment , but on the other hand It Is same for Mou....

Conte would be a great choice for them, I thought he would go to a stronger team tbh
What's up with Spalletti though, would you like him to leave after this season? Would be good for Inter if you could get Mourinho and your Chinese owners start investing in transfers, that's the only scenario where you can soon challenge for big trophies again imo

Re: The Official Roma Thread
Only thing Mou at Roma does is make them unlikable. Nothing to do with the scudetto there.
Biggest threat to us by far is Conte coming back to the league.

I have it on good authority that Mourinho won't be going to Roma, BeIN might employ full time for a year or so until opportunities open up.

Ugh no Mourinho. We can't afford Conte's wages and somehow we're able to afford his? Nope.
I don't believe this for one second. And that's ignoring that he's Inter through and through.
