Mbappe better set him for a tap in in the second half
Lack of respect from Mbappe for not letting it roll into the net, No Peru player in sight to clear as well. Also kid is showing that hungry and doing his best to mimic his Idol

If France wins, is it 3 points for Africa or Europe?

Agreed, it's quite magical how he manages to disappear this entire second half.

He manages to create something whenever he gets the ball.
By far France's best player this game imo
Its been all Peru this half too so lets be fair

Guerrero seemed out of it. He lost the ball twice in 20 seconds leading up to the France goal maybe Gareca was on to something when he left him on the bench against Denmark.

What position does this put Denmark in?
If France beat Denmark and Australia beat Peru then Denmark is out?

Gonna be about goals scored I’d reckon.
Australia not beating Peru unless they get VAR help again though

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group C (Australia, Denmark, France, Peru)
france still shit, only looked good today because of peru's aggressive style.
peru, all style no substance. was rooting for them hard, but getting into the box is just not enough. they've had this problem for a while, and never got it fixed.

France are still in second gear. They showed flashes of what they're capable of as a team but there's still left a lot to be desired from this bunch. Good defensive performance though. I think they'll improve as the tournament goes imo.

Didn't watch today, but they definitely didn't deserve to lose vs Denmark.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group C (Australia, Denmark, France, Peru)
People are trying to top club domination to top NT teams... that's not how it works. There is a lot more parity, they don't practice together much at all and most top European players need to find their legs after a long season.
It's all about results until you find you rhythm in a WC. Besides, pool play is about qualifying to the elimination rounds; nothing more. The elimination rounds are a completely different tournament.
It's always been like this. The last time you saw expansive football at the NT level was the WC in 1982. It started getting tactical in 1986 and, starting the awful WC in 1990, everything's been tight.
The games are good though imo. I thought France-Peru was a good game. France didn't want to lose (and played like it) while Peru needed to win.

I'd expect more from France though, didn't convince against Australia, and again didn't convince against Peru. Unless France start clicking, I would start to worry as they head towards the knockout stages.
