Best defense in the tournament.

No offense

France has the best defense... we've only conceded 1 goal and that was on Umtiti's swan lake rendition as opposed to playing football.

On offense, we've scored 1 PK and 2 deflected goals Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Utter and complete waste of talent.

I'm fuming.

You were solid today. Defensively at least. Felt our best chance was in the start but Braithwaithe couldn’t hit the ball.

We’re in the same situation though. Only goal against us was a handball that was very iffy.

Did you hear our coach apparently didn’t tell the players about the result in Peru game.
Feels idiotic waiting with the last sub until 91st minute when a single goal will win you the group.

Guess he wanted to continue his unbeaten run and felt an offensive sub in 70-80 would be too risky. It’s currently at 17 I think.

Just wish he did it. The last 20 minutes were not a good way to represent football on the world stage.

Croatia have conceded only 1 as well and that being a spot kick

They have looked shaky defensively at times though

Have to see how Brazil game goes tomorrow. They're another team imo that has looked pretty comfortable at the back.

Difficult to tell. Brazil have faced SUI and Costa Rica, two of the most offensively inept teams in the world cup

That's harsh on Switzerland. If they are an inept team offensively, then most teams in this world cup are tbf.

They've scored off a set piece, a wonder strike from XHAKA, and catastrophic, mind boggling defense from Serbia for Shaqiri's goal

Whatever works works though, and your point isn't wrong based on the two games so far. It's just that it's a small sample size and I'm judging Switzerland by their squad and their typical play.

Fixating too much on statistics from the group stage, i.e. goals conceded over a whopping 3 matches. No one is going 3-2, 4-3 with teams in this World Cup. Portugal conceded 3 against Spain and yet will remain one of the tougher defensive teams to break down. It's how it goes
