Julian Nagelsmann (born 23 July 1987) is a German football coach who is currently managing 1899 Hoffenheim.

Funnily enough, I had a similar feeling recently. It's still a very long shot though, as I'm not sure how the board is going to sell a guy like Nagelsmann to the regular British fan, and the media. See Firenze's post.
Now, Nagelsmann, what he's been doing at Hoffenheim these past years can only be classified as miracle work, as magic.
There's no other explanation for it.
Their squad is a pile of crap, they should be fighting relegation.
In fact, they were fighting relegation when he took over.
And then this season alone, they sold Süle, Rudy (on a free), Toljan and Wagner without replacement, basically any player with somewhat of a name.
How are they up there? How is this possible. It is not. It is a miracle.
Which is also why, paradoxically, I'm highly sceptical of Nagelsmann's prospects as a top manager even though he's being doing nothing short of miracle work at Hoffenheim - I have a hard time believing magic is real as I'm a rational person. Something must be off.

Re: Next Arsenal Manager Watch
It looks like it, just a couple of days ago there were some reports that Klopp and him have fallen out and this might be one of the reasons.
BBC: Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac will not be involved with the first team until the end of the season for personal reasons.

Re: Next Arsenal Manager Watch
I suppose the timing of Buvac's falling out at Liverpool lines up pretty well with this report, and I'm pretty sure knows Sven Mislintat from their time together at Dortmund. So yeah, I can believe it.
Would be an interesting appointment, to say the least.

Maybe Arsenal just want a 'yes' man who'd be satisfied with a modest budget and being able to work what he's been given with
Underwhelming appointment but wont be surprised if he somehow succeeds.

But the fans have had enough of Wenger havent they, much to the point that most of them would be relieved just to see a new face at the club. They might be taking advantage of that.

Re: Next Arsenal Manager Watch
Imo i think this is also a bit of a power game. Wenger was calling the shots regarding everything when he was there. Gazidis will have a bit more clout in the decision making policies at the club now that he's gone. So lets just get a nobody who'd be content with our policies. Who knows, maybe they want to change the structure of the club totally rather than leaving everything to the manager to make the decisions.
As i said, i wont be surprised to see Buvac succeed inspite of that.

Re: Next Arsenal Manager Watch
I don't see how doing that would benefit the club or the people in charge in any way. Fans want a new coach but they aren't going to be satisfied with any old scrub just because it's not Wenger. If they screw up this appointment the blame isn't going to be on the coach, but on Gazidis, Kroenke, etc. This is a big test of their competency, and I like to think they're keen on passing it.
Also, this "power game" has been going for some time now. The club made structural changes in spite of Wenger's opinion and have been preparing for his departure since the summer. You can see Wenger's comments on Gazidis and Mislintat to see he wasn't totally on board with the idea.

Re: Next Arsenal Manager Watch
Buvac's father is ill. That is the reason why he has returned to Bosnia.
The rumours are most likely lazy journalism but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up happening.
It's 2018 and I refuse to believe that any top club will hire someone without any managerial experience and not affiliated with the club (only Mislintat can vouch for him). We would have seen Queiroz, Meulensteen, etc. manage Man Utd at some point otherwise.
