Who can say me what have these pundits said about the tie? I can't understand English if I listen, just reading or writing (:

Juventus fans mad AF that they aren't being treated like some GOAT team. Nobody is apprehensive about playing you. And why would they be? Spurs play 5 teams that are better than you at least twice a season. Dealio with it.
Kane & Eriksen gonna ruin riot.

Owen Hargreaves : 'Tottenham will easily go through against Juventus '
Micheal Owen : 'Spurs should be happy with the draw. Juventus are a mid range team'
Generally all three are super confident about this game. Micheal Owen believes all 5 PL teams can go through.

Juventus in decline
Pochettino will find a way
Juventus defense not what it was
Confident Spurs will progress but it will be tough
50-50 game
Spurs already smashed Dortmund and Madrid, should not fear Juventus
honestly, having just listened nothing they're saying is particularly bad, I expected worse from D List 'analyst' like Jermaine Jenas and Owen Hargreaves
I think what they're saying is fair
HOWEVER, I bet they have not seen Juventus play outside of the Barca games all season, just looked at WhoScored results and Fifa ratings (like me) so it's not surprising they aren't going to go in depth about Juventus strong points

Stfu you pompous clown
How dare you compare a team that made 2 finals in 3 years to a mid table English team who are on a lucky run
I can understand where you're coming from though. You believe United play a great brand of football so naturally Spurs are gonna look super strong in your eyes.
2 sister mid-table teams overrating each other

"Almost a perfect draw for the English sides, except for Chelsea"
Sums it up
"Tottenham could easily go through, Juventus isn't the same team as last season and they've been struggling in Serie A"
I made it about 5 minutes robes, sorry, I wish I didn't understand spoken English when I have to listen to things like this

Re: UCL R16 : Juventus Vs Tottenham Hotspur
in fairness they said it could have been a lot easier for Spurs but that they shouldn't feel too scared and that it's a 50/50 game
it's not like they said Spurs will go in and destroy Juve
I feel like a lot of neutrals feel similarly, the game can go either way and neither team will go in and easily win IMO

Sky has seriously some problem . It is same incompetence as Sky Italy pundits. Unreal if I think it is relevant pay tv
TBH I am surprised sometimes as English ppl overrate their teams and at same time minimize others.
I believe to be the first to Not support Juve on GL but damn for me Juve are 65 % favorites

I agree with that firenze, I have no problem with them speaking of Tottenham but its difficult to find legitimacy when they speak of Juventus.
"Not what they were last season"
"Struggling in Serie A"
bruh, please
We made a CL final with a double pivot of Pjanic and Khedira and Wingdzukic on the left. Knockouts are about tactics and how teams match up with each other

Real Madrid made them look like some world beater team so all English pundits will assume they'll beat any team drawn in front of them.

- they think at least 3 English teams will go through [not controversial]
- Michael Owen believes PSG will go out against Real
- Jermaine Jenas believes Chelsea will need some luck but if they 'sort out their defensive issues' they have a chanve vs Barca
- Owen Hargreaves "genuinely believes" that "Spurs could easily go through against Juventus" [LMAO]
- Jermain Jenas also "fancies" Spurs and is "confident they'll get a good result"
- Michael Owen thinks Spurs are "very, very strong" and it's a 50/50 tie, Spurs can be "happy" that they have "pretty good chances"
-[these guys are obviously deluded]
- Owen Hargreaves calls Basel the weakest team left
- Jenas calls City "one of the favourites"
- Owen says they have the league "in the bag" and could even "rest a few players" for the CL
- Hargreaves thinks the [English] bookies [who have City as favourites] underrate Real and too thinks Real are favourites vs PSG
- Owen is "convinced" Sevilla are only "half the team" they were seasons ago
- Hargreaves calls Liverpool favourites vs Porto

Re: UCL R16 : Juventus Vs Tottenham Hotspur
Their struggling in Serie A and not what they were last season is just nonsense. We literally are doing better than last year in Serie A. We scored more goals than ever too. Their problem is that they are comparing last season's April with this season's September.
Defensively the team has not been as good, that's the point they have. Even then, after this becoming a clear problem now we have gone to keep 5 clean sheets in a row, which include the 3 best teams we've faced so far. If the defense isn't already fixed, I'd bet it will be fixed by February and we'll be among the teams shipping the least goals by the knockouts time.

Re: UCL R16 : Juventus Vs Tottenham Hotspur
A huge problem in England is that the pundits on TV seem pretty clueless about continental football, unless you're a Madrid or Barca and even then I feel like all they know is what they've seen in CL or Clasico's. BT had a few good pundits but they were relegated to smaller shows. It's rare you'll hear anything in depth or accurate from them that doesn't pertain to PL sides.

Don't see anything wrong with most of that tbh.

The only thing wrong is that they're severly overrating Spurs and underrating Juve.
Apart from that, nothing special.
Agree with them re Real PSG.

Yeah exactly, i was expecting a lot worse tbh.
But anyway the guys in question are absolute morons, if they had the guys that do European football coverage do it i'm sure it would have been a lot better.
But apparently Hargreaves, Owen and Jenas are better than people who write about the game for a living

Ex footballer who is cheap basically.
British media loves using ex footballers as analysts/pundits etc etc.
I hate it, because pretty much all are idiots. But the nation clearly laps it all up.

Danke dir Hans !
Yeah but as I said it is common problem.
Of course there were pundits that thought Napoli would play at par against City etc
i've listened even worse because every natonal punditry evidently overrate own garden due to lack of knowledge
I even listened on Sky Italy Nainggolan is a better player than Modric last year, that is enough I think
Need to build Goallegacy pay tv IMO

Re: UCL R16 : Juventus Vs Tottenham Hotspur
It's the same in Germany. We had Mehmet Scholl as pundit in ARD [like BBC] and you just knew the guy hadn't seen a Premier League game in like 15 years.
Talked about the PL like it was alcoholic Celts playing kick and rush and breaking bones left and right.
Embarrassing ignorance, also from other German pundits.
And when it comes to Italy, they still pretend every game finishes 1:0 and use words like 'catenaccio'
THIS IS NOT THE 60s ANYMORE YOU *bleep*.
