Sirigu's stark decline shocked me, i wonder what happened? Was he always like this?

5 years at PSG is enough to corrupt one's soul imo. They sucked the life out of him and now he's nothing but a walking corpse with no reflexes... that's why he concedes tons of goals.
Last year he played for a relegation club Valadolid or something like that, unreal fall from grace.

Now if you have 24 points, you're 5th
Its the alternate dimension of Serie A. Juve improves the point tally from last year and we are 4th atm. Roma somehow now has the best defense in the league with only 5 goals conceded and its not even top 5 in goals scored. Juve became the highest scoring team in the league but doesn't have a top 3 defense. Napoli wins every game and Inter plays attractive football.

Karsdorp had arrived with an ACL injury on the right. Yesterday he played his first match for Roma, now he injured his left ACL. Out for 6 months.

Harsh. He was a beast on FIFA and decently rated in Eredivise (lel)

Cairo should sack Mihajlovic and signing Mazzarri in place of him , it 'd be successful imo

Mihajlovic is not the problem. Torino has needed more quality since Superga.

Re: The 2017/18 Calcio Thread: Part 2
I'm in the sack-Mihajlovic-boat. His method of blaming individual players publicly really doesn't work. Kicking out Benassi really must not have sat well with the fans either. The directors mentioned how they don't see the right attitude from the team atm. Belotti got injured and the team became incapable of getting results.
Mazzarri is a good call, thats a good level for him.
He will be gone before Montella.

They are not worse than Fiorentina and Sampdoria , let alone Bologna....
It is just matter of managers.
Torino should fight for EL place. It is easily the best Torino of last 20 years on paper.

That Torino need more quality doesn't mean the management has been effective.
Ljajic is the only player that seems to be performing better than before. There is a management issue.
Sampdoria, Bologna and Chievo are surely worse. Fiorentina and Atalanta are arguable. Anyway, all these teams look more determined than Torino. That's the problem.
Torino atm looks like a dead end.

Yes, I remember exactly this was said prior to the season. In terms of their squad, its as much quality as they can ask for. Losing Belotti is an actual stunner but they shouldn't have fallen down this much

Sinisa gets credit just because he was a great player and for his sergeant image that he he wants to give himself imo ...
I won't talk about the person , so many reasons to despise it.
Talking just about football , well, I think he is really a coach of low level.
Every team led by him gets a psychological management very delirious.
He lost it badly the recent derby , Baselli was insane because of him.
Probably he'd have lost equally ,or perhaps not, but it's clear that the damage was made by him.
About the game ........well, it' hit an easy target .
It' enough watching Sampdoria under Giampaolo, and comparing with Torino this year, but even Milan left from him played better and got Europe under Montella

They have a bad run of results, to say the least.
They concede a shit-ton of goals, mostly because their defense is very fragile. Against Juve it was poor... very passive, allowing shots from every angles, cannot clear the ball from their zone. Sirigu was also identified as a weakness.
If the coach has behavior problems, then it makes a lot Never proved anything as a coach, 37% of victories in career, in 225 games with 7 teams.

Karsdorp is our 12th ACL injury. Insane.
I don't think the offerings we're leaving for that ancient indian burial ground Trigoria was built over are working anymore.

Re: The 2017/18 Calcio Thread: Part 2
Sunday and Monday look pretty bad this week for the big teams. The Saturday games I commented in the "Whomstdve' will stop Inter thread".
Lazio, Napoli and Inter will smash Benevento, Sassuolo and Verona respectively. 2 are locks for relegation and Sassuolo is weak plus the San Paolo.
Crotone-Fiore should actually be good. I can see Crotone getting something there.
Sampdoria-Chievo will be intense and fun most likely. Both teams should be looking to get back in the game after losing to the Milan teams. Samp should take it.
SPAL-Genoa is a relegation battle. I imagine a tense game and a possible draw, if not a Genoa 0-1.
Udinese-Atalanta looks like an Atalanta win. Papu is back and fit and Atalanta have won 3 in a row. 1-2.
Torino-Cagliari is inexplicably the game at 8:45. It looks like 2 teams going through a crap time and underperforming. One on the verge of losing faith in their coach, and one which just sacked theirs. Torino's desperation and home advantage should get them the win.

There is not easy match for us (not even against Benevento was , so...) , we haven't to underrate them if we don' t want ugly surprises. Even because for this time Pecchia will put a serious player as Pazzini in place of that clown of Kean
Hellas are not bad to attack but they are terrible to defend , we should exploit this.

The incident in 2013 that definitively established Juventus as Rubentus in the minds of Serie A fans that were not Juventus fans.

Ya'll being peanut butter and jealous
Tomorrow will be a tough match, it's Milan's biggest game of the entire season. For us, its just a Serie A match in October
We have Sporting away to think about, for me a much more important match
