Do you blame him? As a manager at the top level, all you need is a lucky break with the prospects in your squad, or the cash support to bring in the talent from elsewhere, and you’re good to go. They’ll have their pick of the top clubs for their next destination, and they can keep riding on the initial hype until they somehow fail with the elite talent at their disposal. It only takes success with a single, relevant club to become a top manager.
