Neymar isn't the first footballer to have stellar stats for his country. No way you should be calling him "once in a lifetime". That title is reserved for only TWO players in today's world of football and Neymar isn't close.

Neymar is extremely talented, but he's not a once-in-a-lifetime player. Calling him that would be quite misleading, and frankly, disrespectful to the true greats of this game.

The guy is 25 and hasn't won a BdO yet. Heck, he has only been able to break into the last 3 once while playing for a stacked team alongside one of the best player this game has ever seen.

I repeat, Neymar is extremely talented, but calling him a once-in-a-lifetime player is a criminal overstatement.

There is no clear indication if this is going through or not, reports say the players convinced him to stay, but reports also say Barto talk to him and couldn't convince him to stay.

PSG are probably looking for some way exploit FFP to fund the deal without getting in trouble from UEFA, Neymar and his entourage have been quite because there probably not sure if it'll go through 100% atm.

I honestly don't how I would feel about all of this at the moment I see both positive and negative.

I dont think this deal will go through. PSG isnt a big club for me for Neymar to become the main star

If there's no clear indication, the rumor is false until proven otherwise.

They claim PSG have met Neymar's release clause. If that's true, then PSG only needs the greenlight from Neymar to go through with the move.

The fact that nothing has become official yet tells me he's either backed out at the last second or this whole thing was orchestrated by his father to get a better contract at Barcelona.

Remember, if you meet the player's release clause and the latter is willing to leave, the club at which the player plays can't do anything to stop the move.

So why is Neymar still a Barcelona player if the rumor about him wanting out and PSG meeting his release clause is true?

Either there is something wrong with the media (or their sources) or something weird is happening between the player and the club. Because as you said they've been reporting for days that Neymar has decided to join, yet nothing official has happened.

Either this whole thing is bogus, or PSG is trying to figure out how to smash the 30% of revenue ceiling without getting caught.

How can two players be "ONCE in a lifetime" players at the same time?

Btw once in a lifetime seems a stupid idea anyway. Usually people talk about once in a generation.

Rumours going around is the deal will cost PSG about 650M. UEFA have supposedly warned them and if they do it may risk CL ban.

He could be a once in a life time player ( not saying he is) but him not winning the BDO is irrelevant to that statement.

Mainly because it's a popularity contest won by one of the two most popular players year in year out and nobody else has a hope in hell until the rules change.

People are deluding themselves if they think Messi or Ronaldo have deserved it every year for the last decade, they don't.

Barca need to pay Nerman's dad 50m and this will all be ok.

It's been years since he's got a kickback from them probably with all the lawsuits going on, no wonder he's making trouble.

Or, maybe better yet, they should pay 150k for a professional hitman to take him out.

We should take the money imo. If we spend it wisely to strengthen the weak links then we won't miss that money grabbing whore too much I guess. The MSN had made our board complacent and they thought they could get away with anything as far as the trio is delivering. Last thing I want is hiking the wage bill of this scrub. We already are drying out ATM courtesy the humungous wage bills and anymore increase will bear a toll on team further. Instead grab the money sign world class midfielder and a solid forward and we're back imo.

Barca will spend that 200m on 2 scrubs from Valencia, 2 from villarreal and 2 from Sevilla with 1 from Arsenal.

But I don't think barca are going to be that stupid to let go a top 5 player when there is no replacement unless you look at the likes of Grosicki, mahrez, Coutinho or Lemina

^If PSG activates his release clause with Neymar willing to leave, there's nothing Barcelona can do to stop the move.

But I'm still skeptical about this whole thing, because as I said before, if Neymar truly wanted to leave, he would be a PSG player by now.

The fact that this "saga", if we could call it that, is still going on tells me there's something else the Neymar family is looking to get from Barcelona.

that is the current trend of sugning scubs to feed MSN. With Neywhore gone the board would be forced to sign a galactico. And we do have a knack of landing WC players if we go after them, Suarez being the latest example.
