So apparently Valverde has been told he is getting sacked

With both Xavi and Koeman saying no to taking over now who might Barca appoint. Maybe it'll be their own version of Solari trying to steady the ship but instead capsizing it

This season is lost, they should take their time and consider all options. Hopefully Poch is on the fence. Finally we got rid of the cancer.

So according to Marca it'll be between Poch, Setien and Pimienta

Poch has already said no. If he agrees than finally Espanyol-Barca will be a proper derby again. Setien has been without a job since getting sacked at the end of last season.

How can you sack your coach now, when the possible replacements are this bad

They are negotiating with Quique Detiene. They have to close him first before sacking Valverde.

Na I think he stepped down himself aka he was told to step down but officially he wasn't sacked. Sort of like Mourinho stepping down when he was going to be sacked anyways

I am not blind to other issues that we have but I've been calling for Turdverde's sacking for more than a year surely. It's a relief.

Even with the best players, he'd not be suitable for Barca. And he's a really bad motivator.

The senior players should be ashamed of themselves. He backed the Messi amigos yet none of them delivered for him. Particularly Pique and his extracurricular activities that got in the way without the club stepping in to intervene. A big shame

I really liked him. He was very professional and respectful. Those coaches are hard to find in todays football

I hope he's not out of job for too long

He's basically the Spanish Sarri, except worse. Old fart with no track record except for a one season wonder with Betis.

I know Barcelona fans are happy to see Valturde go but just him leaving isn't going to solve the problem if you're going to replace him with a similar coach.

It genuinely astonishes me the names Barcelona are linked to all the time, they make Woodward proud.
