How that reads to me is once they add in cosmetic stuff ( there is none atm) they'll give people the option to buy a Darth Vader skin if they want.

Honestly if that's what happens that's even worse than doing nothing at all.

As much as I defended the game not being pay to win, because from what I played I don't believe it is I still want this shit to go away.

Also I don't understand why it can't be fully cosmetic, it's Star Wars they'd make insane bank from just selling various different skins like Overwatch.

Today, EA announced that it will be removing microtransactions from Star Wars Battlefront 2. That reads as Battlefield type shortcut packs to me where you could pay to unlock stuff, but the difference there was they didn't release them until months after the fact so everyone had the stuff if they were their day 1 anyway.

If they do that the timing of it all will be key as to how angry people get, the reason nobody ever got angry at Battlefield is because all it did was get everyone else up to speed so no advantage.

If they do it in a months time then people will get just as angry as they are now. They'll have to be very careful regardless Laughing

Because apparently Disney's CEO spoke to them and i imagine if they *bleep* up again the consequences will be a lot bigger than just a little warning.

yup they would make great bank from selling cosmetics like OW since it's a huge IP and nobody would really take issue with it, they should just be looking to do that instead of trying to figure out other ways to shoehorn in gameplay altering microtransactions out of pure greed.

Finished the campaign, haven't timed it or anything but my guess would be 6 or 7 hours in length.

Had some cool moments, i enjoyed the characters and some of the story directions as well exploring some really great looking planets.

But the downside is the general gameplay loop is very meh, go here and kill that etc etc.

Would rate it by itself a 6 or 7 out of 10, found it be an enjoyable casual blast but not something i'll remember outside of the fact it's Star Wars and had some very iconic characters involved.

Haven't played it yet lol, will probably do so after i eat.

Although i did look at the progression for weapons. To use the weapon i loved in the beta i need to get 200 kills using the Specialist class ffs.

Nothing unusual but i wanted to use it straight away lol.

I have now played the MP for the last 3 hours lol.

Enjoying it so far ( which was predictable considering i liked the beta) I'm not doing as well largely to do with just learning the maps and i haven't unlocked any guns yet and i suspect the starter weapons are shite tbh because the beta weapons were better but i haven't unlocked those yet.

For reference i have 25,000 credits so far which would be enough for Vader and Palpatine if i wish hmm

but i haven't spent anything yet.
