The only area #LFC reds fans need to look is their manager insanely preparing for a 5 month season. #Kloppout

This basically. This is your issue. More than his reluctance to spend imo.
FFS this tweet made me cringe. Worse than sound of rubbing a balloon.

Well, aint it true tho. Klopp is running your players down without adequate cover to fill in when they eventually become exhausted owing to his so called eh.. gingerpressing? lol
Players such as Lallana et al look already knackered big time and we aint even done with January yet.
Spare a moment to remember Klopp's final season at BVB btw, they were basically fighting relegation for half a season owing to reasons precisely stemming from these issues.
I dont know whether thats what the tweeter meant by the 5 month season, but it can't be anything else can it now? First of all Pool doesnt have depth like at all and second of all, Klopp's approach is taking a toll and leading to fatigue among that already thin squad.
Perhaps Mane was the reason after all and his return will spur a change, but at this point I dont think anyone can outright reject the proposition that you guys have run out of steam.

No.
We aren't scoring, That's it. How can you correlate that to "loss of steam" wtf does that even mean? They are still running 13 kms on average each game and dominating most games.
Its a mentality issue which has been ever present since the Daglish era. The core of the squad are the same *bleep* players. They are great players but their level is Liverpool FC.
Damn people love jumping to conclusions.

Can you back this up with stats. If so, fine then what you are saying is true.
The thing is I don't see livpool 'dominating' of late as you used to do during the initial stages of the season and creating chance after chance. They are having a lot of possession but have lost the penetration from what I have seen at least.
Anyway I may be wrong. I wasnt having a go at Pool.
just thought what that guy said held a different outlook and so decided to post, especially when every fan in the social media are crying and ruining the fact that Klopp didnt spend enough.
If you think otherwise and believe the problem lies somewhere else, fine. let' see.

Is this showing that same as Pep's 'system' that Klopp's system is also flawed then? No one system is perfect and if his team cant sustain the play for the season or arent good enough to pull it off every week, then they got no hope for the title obviously...

Re: All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10
Systems are all about giving players options. Klopp's system and Pep's system both give players lots of options on the ball, but at the end of the day, the players have to decide which action is best.
That's why the quality of the players are so important. The best players choose the best options in the smallest spaces and shortest of times.
Less talented players choose the wrong option more, which usually either leads to a stagnant attack or them losing the ball.
You don't go from the likes of Hummels, Gundogan, Goetze, Reus, and Lewa to Matip, Henderson, Cou, Mane, and Firmino and not feel a difference. Same goes with Pep. Big difference between Alves, Abidal, Boateng, Lahm, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Mueller, Robben, Ribery, and Messi to the squad he currently has at City.

Thats cool, but then if Liverpool cant get the players of high enough quality to pull the system off, then should Klopp keep sticking to it or adjust? Hes been at the club for a good while now. I dont know, if Klopp is more flexible than Pep say, or at least u feel.
With Pep u can say hes just arrived sorta and can still bring players in being at Man C where buying power is not an issue.

Mourinho the pragmatic anti-youth strikes again. Martial left at home for the second game running. Mensah not starting yet again. Tuanzebe (who Mou enticed us fans when asked about in the build up to the game not even on the bench). We are leading 2 to nothing against a poor Hull city side and he decides to play his strongest side even with the likes of Carrick and Zlatan.
All of dem lies. dem false promises.
I will loose it if we are winning this game and at the 65th minute instead of bringing TFM on for some valuable game time, he sends on bogbrush.

They're 'pulling the system off' though. They're just not, on the whole, good enough to walk the league or win every cup with it.
If you look at the squad, at the performances, and the table on the whole, you'd have to conclude that the system is working well for the players he has.
What you ask is equivalent to the Unique tantrum - i.e. to assume that there's a simple way of football that's more successful in terms of results if you're players are not top.
There isn't.
Things like Leicesters league win are perfect storm scenarios where a system reverberated with the players - but what got them the league were the exceptional performances of their players - Mahrez, Vardy, Fuchs, Kante, Fuchs - for the relevan period of time (not necessarily in the long run).
Just like in Liverpool's peak moments, players like Firmino, Lallana, Henderson, even Can, Milner, perform exceptionally well as they reverberate with the system. At their best, they can beat anyone.
About Pep, if you look at it soberly, removed from the day to day hysterics of PL coverage, his team has had some pretty fantastic performances already, and he has had some troubles. Fernandinho deciding to get himself sent off 3 times, and Gündogans ACL the biggest of them so far.

1-0 Hull. Huddlestone penalty. Rojo caught pulling Maguire's shirt, which is technically a pen under new rules, but it's rarely given.
Good thing United have close to their best team out because they might need it.

Imagine if Hull are the ones to end our 3 month unbeaten run
entirely possible based on that first half, we had 1 shot

Getting outplayed by Hull city's friggin reserve team. This aint the same form which helped us to win those games on the trot. Similar to Lpool clearly we too have gone off the boil of late.

Phil Neville is adamant that pulling someone down in the box is never a penalty against Man United.

Disgraceful 1st half performance from everyone bar Rashford and DDG. Arrogant, complacent attitude.
Lingard, Darmian on the right are useless!
Terrible pen decision too.
