for some reason I thought SOTON were 2-0 up going into this match. Think Liverpool should win it then tbh. Especially at home + they have basically their entire starting 11 playing,

Doesn't Klopp know about the Emre Can effect i.e. no team has ever won while playing Emre Can.

Southampton absolutely deserve this over two legs.
We've spent 35m for Andy *bleep* Carroll, Klopp mate. We've got 100 million to spend get the *bleep* in there ffs.
His stubborness is going cost/delay our good days imo

At this rate Soton will beat us. They look a solid team especially when VVD comes back (will he tho before Wembley) their defense too will improve.

2 clear penalties not given for Liverpool. Let's just get this on record in case a certain poster starts with his BS again.

They have amazing discipline, It'll be really tough considering they deal with crosses really well. VVD won't be back for the final i think though.
They deserve this, Beat us over two legs and Arsenal.
Klopp needs to get over his stubborness and values and get into atleast a positive net spend this season. People spending 200m around us ffs, Even Burnley has spent more.

I agree it was a penalty on the same counter but we can't cry about it like people do on GL. We were shite Soton deserved it.

Very true, He's not good enough. He needs to go back to the Bundesliga and save his career before the pressure destroys him.

Penalty shmenalty. We didn't deserve to go through. Soton wanted it more over the two legs.
I never want to see Sturridge and Emre Can EVER again.

Hans with his poverty agenda against United. Meh!
Even if they had won 2 penalties and scored on them, still in that alternate universe Saints would have prevailed ultimately. They should have won the first leg by at least 4-5 goals. Such was their ill luck that day. Liverpool on the other hand was lucky to come into this 2nd leg with them still in it tbh.

Klopp needs to sign players asap, This is not the Bundesliga or Dortmund where your team can chill because the team at 3rd spot is 25 points behind you.

One positive note is that Klopp know he needs to sign players. He's constantly saying we are looking to buy. But nobody wants to sell their best players in the winter window.
I expect massive signings in the summer. CF, Winger, DM, CMs, CB, fullback.

.. brings up a good question tbh, Sturridge is obviously an elite finisher, wonder where he ends up
I don't get the impression Pool would be unwilling to sell him to a top 6 rival if the valuation is met, but Arsenal is the only team I could see him at..but I don't see him as much of an improvement over G-Rude in terms of overall teamplay, G-Rude has proven to be an elite finisher too tbh.

Spurs maybe as a backup for Kane? I feel like at this point of his career he would want to be a starter though, so maybe the likes of SOTON or Stoke

Re: All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10
Sturridge sucks now
Realistically any top team buying would be massively disappointed. He's nowhere near 13-14 Sturridge and what he was capable of.
Today Emre Can hit a through ball that Mertesacker would have caught up to but Sturridge couldn't. It was disgusting watching him spring gingerly as if he was too scared to go full speed.

Forget FSG, forget net spend. The only area #LFC reds fans need to look is their manager insanely preparing for a 5 month season. #Kloppout

This basically. This is your issue. More than his reluctance to spend imo.

Stahp.
Klopp is the most valuable asset we have and have had in a long time.
He's not reluctant to spend. He wants to spend it on the right players. I'm 100% for that. Sick and tired of David Brent style of signings where you make 10 signing hoping 1 would turn out good.
