All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10

:scratch:You meant to say City I believe.
We are almost set (for the long run) barring in may be max 2 positions. Need a replacement for Carrick asap and in two years time need a CF/SS/Winger when Ibra goes. Rest of the positions are sorted.

ffs that's a nice run, I thought we had some tough games coming up
surely we will find a way to mess up but if we can soldier through and stay unbeaten things could look good
I'm guessing the last stretch of the season we're gonna have a lot of tough fixtures though
toughest fixture is Stoke away IMO, would be disappointed if we dropped points anywhere else

Firenze wrote:Just rewatched the Ibra goal from today 20 times. Absolutely phenomenal technique there. Such a world class player. Almost shocked how he scored since the angle and how he had to adjust his body and direct the header was absurd.
Joint topscorer now.
The finish was very well executed. However, Milner failed to react to Mig's recovery and close down Ibra. I get that it happened quickly, but... How does no one mark the 6'5" world-class CF when he's in the 6-yard box?
That said, I don't think Chelsea are home just yet. If we come out of January within touching distance, anything is possible. Likewise, Spurs are picking up speed and, despite history and my personal perception suggesting otherwise, their squad and manager are of the sufficient quality to win it. c are only another point behind, and certainly have the quality to win it. Arsenal are just a point further back, and despite the jeers of recent seasons, Wenger and their squad are good enough to win a league should those above them slip up.
Obviously, the biggest threat to Chelsea's hopes are Chelsea themselves. Costa's situation could easily decide the title... Conte doesn't seem to trust Michy, and you have to wonder how long they can play 3-4-3 and a false nine without being "found out". Moreover, they are an injury in one of several positions that could jeopardize their run-in. Should any one of Hazard, David Luiz, and Victor Moses (can't believe I'm saying that...) are out for any prolonged period of time, they could find it hard to implement their current approach.
In any case, there are 17 match weeks left. That's an awful lot of football left to be played. I can't imagine this going "according to script" for the remainder of the season. There will be several twists yet to come. The window's still open, for goodness sake. Someone could stillmake a splash in the market (and by "someone" I mean Shanghai

Yep. We gotta travel to Arsenal and Spurs in the last 3 games.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
Theres a reason why England havent done anything in a major Intl tournament for years now. And that reason is that pathetic noobs such as Phil Neville cant help but overhype distinctly average players.
John Stones had a part to play in at least 3 of the goals Everton scored yesterday and this scrub is debating his only mistake was the failure to clear a ball.

guess it's true what they say about karma and the universe balancing itself out
still doesn't make up for just how unlucky we have been though, hoping for a few more offside goals tbh

Stfu with the unlucky
You deserve to be where you are. Actually much lower in the table without those offside goals.
It's not bad luck when your players can't finish dammit
You seriously need to be docked 50% of your warning level for misguiding people with this unlucky bullshit and spreading a non existent propaganda. Some people bought into this BS ffs. And another 25% for your buddy Glory for writing a long post bitching about refs when it has been proven that exactly the opposite is happening. Misinformation at its finest. Smh
Stfu both of you. We've had enough !

Spurs have only conceded 5 open play goals in the PL this season.

Surag included. Talking about offside goals when we've had perfectly legal goals ruled out too. Also most of those offside goals came when the match was already dead and buried. We've lost more points this season due to pure BS than we have won with offside goals.
Glad to see it's started to balance out though.

Don't listen to them. They're fueled by blind hatred and ignorance. Truth be told, we've been hard done by the refs more than any of our top 6 rivals.

The early run of 2 wins in 11 form had handicapped us ( Mou was still trying to find the right balance to the team).
But we were 12 or 10 points behind 4th place, so to claw it back to 4 is more than good. We basically had to go on a crazy run of wins in the league, can't afford any room for error. 16 games unbeaten since then, we're on the right track.

The only ones that are blind are the linesmen officiating at Old Trafford.

Chelsea are the luckiest team in the league, they haven't had a single big injury all season.

stfu...you also have had 6 points alone in Liverpool game ! Where that penalty decision on Lovren and correct goal was ruled out as offside goal, these two decisions against direct rival is more than 6 points tbh.

Tremendous work from Conte and his fitness staff. We dint endure many injuries as well in his 3 year tenure with us as compared to now where we've become another Milan lab copping one injury after another.
