I had in mind feminazis ( http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=feminazi ). Obviously normal feminists do make sense. However from what I gathered feminism is taken out of context these days and brought to extreme levels, which actually do not make sense. While the initial idea of feminism is obviously right, it's often being vandalized in today's society.

If anyone is doing anything to make feminism mean anything else, it's probably people like you misusing the word.
