And what if they don't? What if they are emboldened and start killing/interning minorities. Its happened. Hell Asians are already getting their asses kicked, and I grew up in a house with people who were interned.

I feel its very easy to tell people to calm down and not worry about it when you are protected from this reality by an Ocean. America, and Americans, are not above this behavior when times get tough.

Do you really think that the Germans planned to exterminate the Jews, disabled people, Roma etc at the beginning when Hitler got to power? The proceedings unfolded gradually, and no one really took things seriously in the beginning.

Mind you, I asked my grandparents about how this started, and they were right in the middle of it, and from what they told me, I can see frightening parallels unfolding in the US.

And that's why I won't keep quiet and instead point out the dangers, lest people might ask me later "Were you among the ones who watched silently, too? Shouldn't you have known better?"

Maybe he was considered a clown by other parties but that has nothing to do with the people who voted for him.
You can look up what Hitler and the NSDAP told them beforehand and they still voted for them. It's not like they were lied to. Maybe they didn't expect it to play out as extreme as it did, sure. But they certainly voted for this direction.

People voted for the NSDAP because Hitler promised them better chances for a good living, work, and of course a greater Germany. Additionally he set up a concept of the enemy in the Jews (which was then extended to all "Non-Arians").

Trump promised a greater America, work etc and his concept of the enemy are Muslims, [criminal] Mexicans and other immigrants.

One thing they point out in the article is: "The [NSDAP] party was radical, anti-socialist [pretty much anti establishment, that is], nationalist, reactionary/unprogressive and revolutionary." - and these points seemed to have enticed many people.

Quite some of these adjectives fit Trumps election campaign, too.

Yeah. BTW, my granny said when I asked here whether she voted for the NSDAP "Well, they said everything would become better."

Moreover, you need to remember that people didn't have TV or Internet to get informed via various sources, so it was even more easy to tell them whatever they wanted to hear to get them into the bag.

so who exactly do people think will get killed.
