remember watching his highlight vids on Youtube back then and even training cones have better man marking skills than defenders out there
so it doesn't count imo
Reminds me of PSG.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
speaking of PSG, could see him there too
whenever a big french talent in Ligue 1 is mentioned PSG don't come up too often but outside of a move to United, Chelsea, City, Barca or Real they're firmly in the second tier with Atleti, Juve, Bayern and Arsenal in terms of attractive destinations for top talent

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
M'Bappe is going to Real Madrid unless Real Madrid don't want to pay EPL level money... it's really that easy with this kid. Grew up a Real Madrid and Ronaldo fan. Only reason he didn't sign earlier was that Monaco gave him a more direct path to playing with the A team than Madrid did obviously (smart move).

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Who do you think will be your starting CF then next season, @sports, Aubameyang or Mappé?
Aubameyang's advantage of course being that he has already been Madrid's new CF since January 2016

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
that's the thing..I know Madrid have the money but I don't see them dropping Martial type money on this kid this summer.
Being a Madrid fan etc means nothing. Can easily see one of the EPL giants paying 60m for him this summer. Monaco will cave.
Keep in mind that Madrid will be spending 60m already on De Gea this summer.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Zidane admitting that Madrid almost signed him pretty much means they're confident.... club doesn't disclose past failings unless it's going to be turned around. Just how we are.
Madrid can drop Martial money in a heartbeat. Selling off Isco, James and Benzema will bring in a bucketload of cash not to mention internal reserves.
Mbappe will be the starting CF OR CR will move central and Mbappe will go left. I think it will be interchangeable.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
I have a question which I have been wondering about for a while. It's not just regarding Pappe but Monaco and Ligue Un in general, but I might as well pose it here while we're at it.
So Monaco, the country, has ZERO income tax. That means, paying footballer salaries, they should have a huge competitive advantage over the rest of Ligue 1, because they have to spend much, much less money to give a player the same wages.
Are there any provisions in the Ligue 1 contract with Monaco to mitigate this?
Because if not that clearly is a case of a hugely un-level playing field is it not?

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
The unwritten understanding is that Monaco focus on buying french youth players from other clubs to help the league.
Also, given the size of the country and the audience that come to games, the tax advantage is seen as a way to mitigate for the other disadvantages.
Third, Monaco is asked to spend a lot of money on its academy, which it has.
Overall, Monaco has been a huge plus to Ligue 1. Also, other than the crazy year when this Russian owner came in... they don't overspend. In fact, they almost always turn a profit.
Their business model is designed with these factors in mind.
That said, when they went crazy, there was an outcry and they got taxed by Ligue 1. But given that they've changed to their more traditional model again now, that outcry has gone away.
Nobody can argue that Monaco is a very responsible club and that the reasons for their success are:
- Superior talent assessment
- Superior youth academy
- Superior transfer policy
They're not ramming the tax advantage that they have down anyone's throat.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Monaco has put a 120M price tag on him!!
No way Perez will pay that. Only club that will pay that is United.
What's with these French and the prices being asked?

players say a lot of things, and a quick google search shows the opposite.
100% at United this summer although I'd much rather sign Lacazette

Oh crap.
Here we go again.
Rather we pay that kind of money to fill 2 or 3 positions we desperately need. Mbappe can turn out to be another Iheanacho, we never know. Ofc he looks quality at the moment, but to pay 120m for him, that's bordering sacrilege.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Thing is... M'Bappe doesn't necessarily want to leave this summer and Monaco aren't motivated to sell either. So they can ask a price that would make it impossible to refuse basically.
Kid is well advised. They are focused on his development, not money. Monaco is willing to give a very healthy new wage too, so that's not an issue. Falcao is coming off the books and that's 10 mil + you don't pay income tax in Monaco.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
If thats the case and if Monaco have no plans to budge, then they need to effing stand by that decision all the way even if some deluded morons like Woody or Perez come with what they ask for. They will have to raise the price to 150 if they get the 120 they are demanding and basically give a hands off message.
But the sad reality is, the actual reason for them to quote such a price is because they are well aware there are 1 or 2 clubs in world football who will stupidly agree to give it to them.
Nevermind the absurdity of such a transfer purely from a commercial point of view. But just think it from the players' side. For an 18 year old kid, a transfer such as that and the pressures that come with it can ruin his career once and for all.
The governing bodies need to I think take a firm stand and put a transfer cap on at least in case of U21 players. Otherwise this fkd up shit is only going to get worse from hereon.

Although, its worth that benzema at 18 > mbappe at 18 tho, now look at the french cat. That being said, mbappe is the best young cf in europe and by some distance too. Goat talent and Btw mbappe >>> dybala

Mbappe he is actually a 9 if we sign dybala whonis a 10 we have the same problem we have with James now although he could work better than James as a winger.Firenze wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:Unite signed by the weong mbappe that scrub martial. Mbappe will be a Madrid player you can ink it

And no... Benzema at 18 scored 4 goals. 8 goals at 19. His breakthrough was at 20 years old when he scored 31.
