we tried to sign him when he was 15 or something, hence this pic with CR when he came to Madrid to visit our installations.

Let's not exagerate, he's on 12 goals in 22 games in the league. Good records, but not that stelar.
Would gladly sign him as a Suarez replacement, it's quite obvious he's going to be a star. He's barely 18 years old and already a top player.

have you seen the defending in the Brazilian league though?

remember watching his highlight vids on Youtube back then and even training cones have better man marking skills than defenders out there

so it doesn't count imo

He is like a young etoo. Great movements around the box, to compensate for his size. Great speed he reaches top speed in few steps. Can't judge his finishing yet but it looks good. Also he can play on either side and he has virtually no weakness. Plus A+ mentality and attitude, doesn't lazy up even late in games. All my chips are on I'm sold

Julien Laurens said he will be there for sure next season. If he moves to the EPL I hope he doesn't come here. Mourinho will just ruin him. Make him defend in his own box and then wonder why he doesn't have the he energy to score.

Jose might coach out the natural aggression out of a player and make him defend but for a 18-19 year old kid its good to learn that aspect of the game too I think. To come deep and get involved. (You can really see that Rashford has improved from last season. His overall game has improved. Yes he is not scoring enough, but that was always going to happen. In the past when he was not scoring he was a non-entity in games, but not nowadays. ) So, why not Mbappe? Wink

Zlatan will go soon (preferably next season itself) and we can really get a player like Mbappe or one of the 2 Dembeles. When these kids are 22-23 Jose will go and we can get a better coach who will let go off the chain that holds them back.

However I personally prefer Ousmane Demeble over Mbappe any day (know we wont be getting either . Real and Zidane will be out to prove a point and it seems both of them want Madrid. CR7 and Benzema replacements ideally). :bow:

Will be really content with Celtic's Moussa Dembele instead as the Zlatan replacement. (Heard we are keeping close tabs on him).

For the sake of football, let's hope neither Mbappé nor Dembelé end up sitting on Man United's bench while Mourinho is fielding 6 CBs vs a relegation candidate.

I think they're smart enough to see what happened with Martial.

2nd most stupid move obviously would be Real Madrid.

Best choice however would be to stay at Monaco for a while.

2nd best choice would be to join the FC Bayern München.
