Arturo Vidal: Today ugly football [Atletico] played against the best football [Bayern] in the world. In football not always the best team wins. Atletico aren't the rightful finalists.

Arturo Vidal being salty wrote:"Today there was one team who played ugly football against the best team in the world," Vidal said. "We were the better team. We managed the game, but we did not take the chances we had. The only time they saw the ball was their goal."
Asked if he thought Atletico had deserved to reach the final, the former Juventus player replied: "Definitely not. Definitely not.
"They will dream about us. They did not have the ball, they were up against the best team in the world, they took their chances and they are going to the final. In football the best team does not always win, as happened today."

Actually he represents very well the whole Bayern philosopy during Pepean era...never accept defeat and put mediocre arguments such as : We are the best,we had possesion, referee forgot to help us etc.
He made it into the final with Juve and now....oh well Vidal, better luck next times.

All that fuss and they scored from a free kick and not directly if the Ball wasn't deviated on Gimenez, Oblak probably would have stopped it, they had the ball they pressed Atletico against his box but they didn't have that much of chances as they are making out to be.

Arturo has been fantastic in 2016. Our best player, in Boateng's and Robben's absence.
He can express an opinion, nothing wrong with that

What is so wrong with these comments?
He's salty but he has every right to be. It's the typical frustration after outplaying a team the way they did and still losing. And he's not wrong, ugly football did win

Yeah meh, I would never call Atletico's football 'ugly'. Some of their antics are often ugly, and their football may be reactive, but overall I did not find their play ugly. Generally, to me it makes no sense to call good performances ugly.
I would reserve that word for teams who stumble to undeserved successes with shit on a stick football not knowing their arses from a hole in the ground, a la Chelsea 2012.
Atletico were pinned back, couldn't keep the ball and didn't get anything done most of the time, true, but that's what happens to all teams when we play in full force.
First half of the first leg they played some great stuff, not to mention that solo goal which was a breathtaking dribble, obviously helped by the pathetic inaction of those clowns Bernat and Thiago.
For example, I thought the undisciplined, tactically clueless, overall low quality barn-door-open style of the Real-City game much more offensive to the eye than a strong, compact showing from a team like Atletico.

"Their ugly style wouldn't let us score all the goals we wanted against them. It isn't fair!!"
