Perez, and Madrid are one of the most confused/kneejerk bunchs. This has been done for a while actually (as much as things can be done prior to actual signing lol)... He already loved everything about Madrid. And now, the manager is Zidane and the entire staff is French... so the transition has been made easier. Also helps that ZZ has garnered a reputation for sticking to whatever promise he makes to players (won't over-promise and under-deliver).

His family was in Madrid looking at places to live recently. And no, people don't buy homes in Madrid for tourism lol. Barcelona, yes. Madrid, no. it's not a secondary home destination.
