https://news.sky.com/story/may-set-to-pitch-16340bn-eu-divorce-bill-offer-during-trip-to-brussels-11140787
yet only £2.8bn goes to the nhs. its a good job the politicians get privet health care. this shit makes my blood boil.

my wifes mother is not a well women she has lots of problems and addison's disease being one of them. 2 months ago she had problems where she was peeing blood. she saw a doctor after 2 weeks and was booked in for a scan and tests to see if she has cancer. she finaly got the scan and tests done 2 days ago and they said she will get the results at the end of January. so that's 4 months for simptoms to results. now if it turns out she has kidney or bladder cancer which they are testing for how important would that 4 month wait be to treating her. fooking joke tbh.

anyone heard about this Toby Young lad? fantastic banter.
Also starting to see a Corbyn masterclass on the horizon. Hope so, absolutely tired of seeing May's saggy face on TV. She's a calamity.

Corbyn is functional to a Tory Brexit. From the lips of Brown himself (hate him or merely dislike him he's not wrong).

Corbyn is becoming a cult leader with a massive cult following him. He is still preferable to Theresa May but I really really wish Ed Milliband was still the labour leader.

Re: General UK politics
Jeremy Corbyn was accused of "appeasement" towards Russia as MPs - including his own backbenchers - voiced anger at the Labour leader's apparent reluctance to directly blame Moscow for the Salisbury nerve agent attack.
Mr Corbyn was heckled in the House of Commons on Wednesday as he responded to the Prime Minister's statement setting out a range of retaliatory measures the UK will take against Russia.
The Labour leader described the Salisbury attack as an "appalling act of violence", but urged the Government to ensure its response is "decisive, proportionate and based on clear evidence".
Mr Corbyn also called on Theresa May to maintain "robust dialogue" with Russia, despite her announcement that high-level bilateral contacts are to be suspended.
i prey this fool never becomes PM. he is weak and spineless.

You don't like Corbyn, RG? A little surprised to hear that, without really following UK and labour politics.
What are the reasons, if I may ask? Unless you've written about this before in this thread, then just tell me to look it up.

This is arguably one of the greatest moments in UK political history. There is so much going on that I don't know where to begin.
Corbyn annihilating May to the verge of tears. Her face. She went through the 7 stages of grief all within 20 seconds. Her own party laughing in the background. Boris johnson struggling to control himself from bursting out laughing
This is like Germany 7-1 Brazil, Aguero's last minute winner, United's comeback against Bayern in the CL final all put together in one
She really needs to go. Her party has ruined UK and will continue doing so. Circus of a government.

Re: General UK politics
If we forget the snap election that backfired, I think May has done a decent job as prime minister in very demanding circumstances. UK politics are such a balancing act right now with the Brexit business that it's impossible to perfectly please anyone while having to try to please most MPs enough to keep the ship afloat. Those Tories who want someone more pro-Brexit person for prime minister might soon find out - if they get their wish - that taking a tougher stance with the EU and steering towards a harder Brexit won't get enough support in parliament.
That said, all this tip-toeing by May does make her leadership seem a bit weak. It's almost like she's scared of making strong commitments because a) that might topple her government and b) if such decisions lead to an unfavourable Brexit deal she'll always be remembered as the PM who messed up Brexit.

Re: General UK politics
How do you rate Jeremy Corbyn???
What I have read in last few years it's kinda like typical GL assessment of a rising/promising player. It's either he is a relic from the Stalinist era or the Messiah who will bring true spirit into leftist politics.

Re: General UK politics
Seven MPs have quit Labour in a rage over Jeremy Corbyn's handling of Brexit and antisemitism, reducing the party's seats in Parliament.
The group declared they were splintering to form "The Independent Group" but refused to stand down and call by-elections to receive a new mandate.
Luciana Berger, Chuka Umunna, Chris Leslie, Angela Smith, Mike Gapes, Ann Coffey and Gavin Shuker stunned Westminster by holding a news conference announcing their decision on Monday morning.

Re: General UK politics
IS bride Shamima Begum has told Sky News "a lot of people should have sympathy" for her as she spoke of her wish to return to the UK.
The 19-year-old, who has just given birth to a baby boy in a Syrian refugee camp, also said the UK authorities had no evidence of her "doing anything dangerous", in response to concerns she could pose a security threat.
In the interview with Sky correspondent John Sparks she claimed she was "just a housewife" during her four years in the terrorist caliphate in Syria, where she married a young Dutch IS fighter called Yago Riedijk three weeks after she arrived in the country in 2015.
While she was aware of beheadings and executions being carried out by the extremists but she was "okay with it", because she had heard "Islamically that is allowed".
there are no words to discribe how angry this story is making me.

The whole anti semitism thing is a bit weird. Not committing to sign a document that says that criticizing Israel is anti-semitic shouldn't make you an anti-semite.
