I mean imagine a Hogwarts vs McWizards (USA) school rivalry ffs
I can just imagine those American wizards on flying wall mart scooters. Can't wait.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Wut!! I just watched the best movie of 2016.
Sing Street - 8.5/10.
What a movie goddam. Had no clue what this movie was about except something to do with music but goddam sooooo good. My 2nd favorite musical drama all time after Whiplash. I rated higher than Inside Llewyn Davis (which is 3rd in this list).
John Carney is a good director. Liked Begin Again as well, so I'm gonna keep an eye out for his material.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Watched extended cuts of - Kingdom of Heaven and The New World
Had radically different feelings about both.
Kingdom of Heaven - Obviously it's known to be a beautifully shot movie, but the best part about this movie for me was still Edward Norton as Baldwin IV. I think this is probably my favorite role he's played. Just immense with the limited screentime given to him. Loved Jeremy Irons and Alexander Siddig as well. Beyond that, as purely a movie, it's in my top 10....as a historical experience, it's not even in my top 25. Far too many inaccuracies.
The New World - Saw this way back when it first came out and didn't want it again. Q'orianka Kilcher was absolutely amazing. Pocahontas is such a tragic character, but Kilcher played her with all the grace and innocent she deserves. She didn't look out of place at all with Farrell and Bale, whom apparently she had never heard of prior to being cast in this. Last 10 minutes of this movie were just superbly done by Malick. Hit me right in the feels. A better movie extended than it's theatrical version definitely. Weirdest part was Kilcher and Farrell's age difference, which pruposely mirrored the real Pocahontas' and John Smith's ages, sans the romantic relationship. In this movie, I thought it would look weird, but they pulled it off well.
Vastly different movies, but by the time I finished watching them both, my opinions of them had flipped completely compared with their theatrical releases.

Still think it's looks so great.
They still haven't learned anything regarding trailer music though.

Watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Damn it's aged very well.
Will go with 8.1/10 to start with. Will judge the rest of the movies based on this score.

It was a great action movie.
You could basically Call it a Batman movie where Batman kills. It was so much fun. Boggles my mind how anyone could not enjoy this movie

It's also really funny. Great humour in it. Not in a laugh at the autist way, you laughed with him.
It's the kind of action movie you can watch whenever it's on

There's probably a bluray of it. Not in colour though. It would also be a waste to try and colour it, it's absolutely beautifully made and the lighting and shadows are the best thing about the movie.

Order of the Phoenix - 8.1
This one just like 3rd and 4th has aged very well. It's getting darker and darker with each passing film.
I think this was the worst adapted version of all the films from its respective book. Just too many good minor details missing or rushed that made the book so good.
Still a very good movie.

Can't watch it personally.
Never seen Schindler's List. Never seen 12 Angry Men. Never seen Raging Bull. Or any other all time classic that's in black and white.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Citizen Kane would just not work with colour. Yea I think there's a remastered/bluray version of it.
Seen all those McEggz mentioned above, and my personal fave is Schindler's List. The others are good. I don't think it's the matter of it being white and black exclusively. I watched Ida (foreign film Oscar winner from a few years back) and Nebraska and I didn't mind the black and white cinematography at all. I think when people have trouble with black and white films it's just more an older film thing. Films made in the 70s and earlier just feel more longer and lethargic and the editing takes getting used to compared to what we're used to these days.

Girl with a Dragon Tattoo was thoroughly entertaining. I don't think it was Fincher's best, but it was quite good. Rooney Mara
