Meh, Paulinho has been great for Brazil, all my brazilian friends love him. We'll see how it goes, but I don't think failing at spurs is an indication of anything.

Price tag is ridiculous (we have to get used to it) but he can be a good bench player and his signing doesnt get in the way of possible other transfers. Coutinho is still gonna happen most likely & Dembele is still on the table aswell, I think. Or at least I hope.

Don't even get me started on that. Brazil's system is unlike Barcelona.

If anything, Paulinho failed under Pochettino's system which is close to Valverde's. And Paulinho failed miserably under that.

But yeah sure, try to convince yourself that he might be good like you did with André Gomes.

Laporta once again calls for Bartomeu to resign. False hope, we're stuck with this donkey and his muppets for good. It's a sad sight to see whats been happening to our beautiful club. And it pisses me off a great deal because Barca is the only team I enjoy watching play at the moment.

This man is an absolute disgrace in Barcelona history. He has no idea about the values or standards of our club and no respect for La Masia. He is not even a smart wheeler dealer. The only reason he is still here is that he managed to deceive our socios into believing he deserved some credit for the 2015 treble.

If he lasts his full term, by the end of it Barca will almost surely not be counted among the big clubs any more.

Barca's philosophy has been and should be buying players who are either world class and/or really needed at that point in time.

Beyond that we should always be looking at our academy and seeing how much opportunity we can give to our young players.

What do players like Song, Turan, Gomes and now Paulinho give us over what we can get from our young players?

No wonder as fans we are appalled at this pathetic waste of money. If we had bought one or two top players instead with the same amount we may have been a stronger team. If we had not spent that money at all we would have at least retained our values and philosophy. Unfortunately right now we have lost both quality and values and are coming close to losing our identity. If the current board is not brought down quickly we could be in for another spell in the dark ages akin to some of the years that we had before 2003.

Im already prepared for it, our era had to end, thought it was going to back a couple of years back, but MSN surprised us a lot and we dominated a while longer.

I've accepted its Real time, although I just hope during this period we wont be too sh*t and at least be competitive and good to watch, would hate to see Messi still in his prime but struggle. I dont expect us to beat Real to titles though this season.

Atm it looks like we will be forced to splash out for Dembele/Coutinho, etc., which at best is 50/50 chance that they will succeed, same probably goes for Paulinho.

With Messi around we wont be too bad at least, thats one of the lights thats still shining on our club

Madrid are just better managed since Zidane took the helm (and nowhere near perfect, mind, he has had his fair share of luck too) while Barcelona board have gone from bad to worse. This is not a sudden effect but one that took years to surface. Without Messi, this board would have long gone, but the Argentine always covered the team's poor quality with his amazing ability. The front three definitely helped mask the major flaws this squad has but now with Neymar gone, expect them to be more pronounced than ever before. And no, I don't believe Coutinho, Paulinho and Dembélé will cover these shortcomings.

I don't agree this Real Madrid is better than the Galácticos. They don't play anywhere as gracefully as they did 18 years ago. Their coach has cautious approach to the game, which I presume he gained from his playing days in Italy. No way I would compare them to galácticos or Pep's Barcelona. But they are a team built to win, and the results speak for themselves.

Heard two sensational rumors which are probably true considering the kind of administration we are under :-

1. Messi has still not signed his new contract. His release clause is E250m. Maybe Manchester City is not aware of this. So what if he is thirty years old he is still Leo Freaking Messi. Pep would call and he would probably go. I am a little surprised that has not happened yet.

2. Paulinho was signed because the deal indirectly makes profits for a company owned by ... hold your breath ... Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Messi and Iniesta's contract both run out in 2018. I know Iniesta is being pretty public that he is gonna wait to see how he feels this season before he announces if he will extend a further season or not. But Messi has been stalling on signing a new contract for some time now, and I don't blame him. The board is running this club down, and he shouldn't waste possibly the tail end of his prime dragging this club up on his own. So yea, if I had to guess, I'd say both Messi and Iniesta leaves next summer.

Also, I agree with everything this guy said.

Really depends what one prefers, to watch beauty football so called without winning much like the Galatico days, or the team now. I much prefer this current team because its got balls and balance, essential in winning. Pretty sure it was as much frustration as it was pleasure watching the Galaticos.
