Which one do you bench?

Apparently Dybala will be on the bench against Torino and come on later.

Yep, but probably he will come in earlier.

I think that it will be a difficult, but depends on the game. At the moment I would bench Mandzukic for the game against Roma and if we are leading, get Mandzukic in. We need to score first, then bring on Mandzukic for his defensive and and heading duties.

The Higuain-Madzukic partnership does not work well. I don't know how we managed to play with them together all this time. It is ugly, absolutely no creativity. Higuain cannot play a Dybala role... His first touch is just too heavy. Boring football upfront when no creator is there. We played much better with 4312 when Pjanic was used as a trequartista.

Now that Dybala is back, will Kean go back to play with the youth team? He was not called up by Allegri for the game yesterday, but played for the youth's team in the CL.

a problem is that you need strength to win the game
you have to score headers

you need at least two man who can go for headers, higuain and mandzukic

however, to address the problem of creativity Juventus for long time has used an advanced playmaker like Del Piero, tevez, Dybala, but when you need a guy for the headers they stand out of the box doing am role, while a bigger man goes for headers like vieira, khedira, felipe melo

on this case you have addressed the both problems strength and creativity as you have two playmakers dybala and pjanic + you have two men for headers higuain + khedira

if you have a pair like higuain and mandzukic you have to use two creative mindfielders like real madrid uses kross and modric, you can use pjanic + hernanes

Have you noticed that Khedira's dip in form is related to Dybala's absence? Khedira hasn't been scoring much because he is always in the back, where Dybala would be to create space.

yep,
khedira is not exactlly 100% useful when there is no dybala, is what i believe

when you have a pair like mandzukic and higuain i would choose someone else not khedira

Mandzukic shouldn't be benched not when he just got in form... That would be so stupid.

If we bench Higuain, he wouldn't get better, that is the problem.

we can play 4312

dybala behind mandzukic and higuain

no need for khedira 3cm to be marchisio, pjanic, lemina

Look at us struggling to bench 3 great forwards. Where are the days when our best sub was Giovinco and our rotation options were Bendtner, Anelka and Borriello?

yeah,

we juventus fans we sure worry about if there is something wrong with the team, is what we do for living, but that is not how our opponents see juventus

juventus has extreme dangerous players you wouldnt like to play against

its bbc

the wings there are dangerous players cuadrado, sandro, evra,

on the center nothing else but champions or motivated youngsters

i dont think you would like to play against such a team

higuain and dybala? nah i wouldnt
even if these guys would have a terrible season i still wouldnt like to play against them

We got lucky! Porto-Juve in the round of 16.

Easiest rivals available. Them or Leverkusen really.

Who are their best players, do you know Rincon ?

i only know Brahimi and Casillas from Porto, seems like their star has faded over the last few years... which is a good thing for us tbh

Sandro will play against his previous team, what an excellent player we bought from them !!

They have a young striker (forgot his name) who we've been linked with and has looked impressive for them this season.

Don't know any more players than you guys. But they just looked so so poor vs Roma. Lost the group to Leicester too.

They have a couple of promising names there but we have no business losing to this Porto. No excuses now from us.

Can Lichtsteiner be added to the CL list in January even if he was left out earlier ?

We will need him for sure (i rate him higher than Alves for the defensive work anyway)

yes, it was confirmed that he will be added. I expect Asmoah and someone else to make room for Litch and Witsel (if he comes)

Well not the easiest draw, but definitely one of the easier ones.

Last year they had an outstanding season till around november or so, then the team pretty much collapsed, had their coach changed (maybe even twice, not sure about this).

Their bad form lasted pretty long but in the last few weeks they really picked up form, the Leicester win also def helped with a huge moral boost (plus the last minute draw against league leaders Benfica and beating Braga 1-2 weeks ago). So I think regarding form they are gaining a huge momentum, probably will be peaking early spring.

Regarding their squad, Casillas is a great weak point. Guy's been conceding howlers for 2 years now, but they don't have any proper sub for him, so probably he will keep going.

Midfield is pretty strong, although it doesn't come close to our full strength MF. Players to watch out for: Herrera and Andre Andre, they are well above the others in quality.

Forward line is pretty good as well, from what I've seen Brahimi has been outstanding this season, Andre Silva has been bagging goals too, and against Leicester this Corona guy has been impressive as well, fast and good technique. I don't think he will start against us though. Defense is pretty average.

I think we shouldn't really have a big problem winning the midfield battle, so that pretty much negates the forward strength of Porto, at least that was the case from what I've seen, there is not much enough individual quality up front for them.

So yes, a rather easy draw, the Dragao is a tough stadium to play in though, snatching a draw will be fine there.

PS: this is my personal opinion, I've been keeping tabs on Porto since I've lived there last year, visited a few matches. Didn't actually fact check any of my info

Good news, real good news

Cuadrado attacks better
Licht defends better

Alves should be the one left behind, won't happen tho... so i think Hernanes and Asamoah will be taken off, mostly because they might be sold in January

Oh boy Porto is one tricky side...

Hector Herrera, Maxi Pereira, Ruben Neves, Brahimi, Silva, Pedro rofl

It will be one hell of a game.
