Capello to replace De Boer at Inter?
By Football Italia staff

There are already reports Inter could sack Frank de Boer and bring in Fabio Capello if he loses to Juventus on Sunday.

The Coach was only drafted in two weeks before the start of the season when Roberto Mancini parted company by mutual consent due to disagreements with the club hierarchy.

De Boer has managed one victory in four games, a last-gasp 2-1 result at Pescara last weekend.

His position was put under huge pressure after this evening’s shock 2-0 home defeat to Hapoel Beer-Sheva in the Europa League.

Inter were jeered off the pitch at San Siro and, according to calciomercato.com, De Boer is already at a crossroads on Sunday against Juventus.

If he loses the Derby d’Italia in an embarrassing fashion, then De Boer could be sacked to make way for Capello.

The same reports also suggest that there is a clause in De Boer’s contract allowing Inter to terminate early by paying him just €1.5m.

There are many concerns at the club regarding De Boer’s tenure, above all that they have scored just three goals in four games – all of them by Mauro Icardi.

Inter have also been in a leading situation for just one minute this season, the period between Icardi’s winner and the final whistle at Pescara.

De Boer's comments this evening after the defeat to Hapoel also caused confusion, as he claimed that "for periods in the second half I saw the football I wanted."

Probably won't happen this early (although it would be a ballsy move...). But then the list grows cheers

Allegri saves De Boer from the axe. They must be best buddies or De Boer has some nasty pictures of Allegri attending those Bunga Bunga parties from his days at Milan.

De Boer has at least a month's reprieve. Let's see if he can turn Inter around. The talent is there, there are few CL teams that have much better personnel that Inter has.

Are you guys actually serious btw? I mean is there really a chance de Boer could be sacked before say Christmas? I mean obviously if he loses every game but let's say if he just doesn't perform well. Would Inter really sack him THAT fast?

Had Inter not beaten Juve, yes. You saw the Chinese owners in the stands, if Inter had lost badly, they would have been asking for his head. Inter won with style, so De Boer is safe for now.

Only delayed the inevitable. But let's be serious, he or any other manager will only be warming the bench for Simione

If I was Inter I would be all over Eusebio Di Francesco. He is the next great Italian coach. He already uses the 4-3-3. He'd be a perfect fit for Inter. Actually he'd be a perfect fit for Juve as well.

If our coward Allegri insists on playing the conservative play not to lose 3-5-2 I would have no problem sacking him in favour of Di Francesco.

EuroMax crashed out last year. Two years ago with the best midfleid in the world he got to the CL final. This year he ties Sevilla at home while playing not to lose. Then he sits Higuain for the derby against Inter who just came off a brutal loss to a beer league team, and he loses. Cuadrado is nowhere to be found.

He might be losing his touch. We will see how he handles the next few games.

Needs more time. Didn't have time so I only watched the game on whoscored and this was not a de Boer game. The players have yet to adapt to the philosophy IMO

With a starting 11 as talented as Juve this is a huge disappointment. He should be sacked immediately tbh...

Don't know what sort of miracle people expected, he took a team which isn't his team and he didn't even have a pre season with them. He is going to need some time to get to know the players, the league and they will need some time to get used to the way he wants the team to play. The worse thing Inter can do right now is sack him after a few games then start again Laughing

Icardi's nonsense couldn't come at a worse time. The team relies on him so much and now the pressure is piled on. Killing De Boer with this.

I guess so.

I mean with Milan's downfall it's not such a mystery - after 30 years of Berlusconi at the helm, we do not need to hire a private investigator to unearth karmic trouble.
