Re: De Boer Sack Watch
Playing for the NT means f all lol, Zapata is the second coming of Nesta for Colombia but at club level he is a disabled David Luiz
Barbosa: Why did they buy him only to leave him on the bench? Why not spend on a fullback?

I honestly can't tell if Zigra is being serious about giving de Boer a chance or not. He's awful.

According to rumors, they might get 33 year old Lichtsteiner for free next summer. Recycling is a good thing, in my country you can even receive some tax credit for that.

He might be awful but is it really that unreasonable to think you should stick with a coach past a couple months?

But it's de Boer, of course he's awful.
I'm probably his biggest hater on GL ffs. I had to endure people telling me how great a coach he is while watching his garbage football for years.
But as I said that's not my point.
Inter appointed him so you'd think they must have had some vision/strategy and to abandon that after 10 games because of bad results is just a joke.
Just shows me they had no vision at all.

Other players are decent at best.
@breva
LOL, to mention a few. Many are starters on top ten national teams.
Gabriel Barbosa
Ever Banega
Jeison Murillo
Miranda
Gary Medel
Antonio Candreva
Stevan Jovetic
Marcelo Brozovic
That list

Gabriel Barbosa: Unproven and looks like a Prince cosplayer
Ever Banega: Is this 2009?
Murillo: Ah of course

Miranda: Yeah he's great. But old.
Medel: Only place he would be world class is if he's cast at Narcos
Candreva: Decent but playing at Inter automatically makes a 7/10 a 4/10
Jovetic: See Banega
Brozovic: Only relevant thing he ever did his career is this

I don't understand the uproar about sacking De Boer. The mistake is not sacking him, the mistake was hiring him in the first place.

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
Inter contact Marcelino, meeting scheduled for the weekend (Di Marzio)
----
Last time they had a Spanish coach, it didn't work out to well..
That being said, Marcelino is a great coach, VCF binned him because of transfer disagreements, very defensive minded coach. However, who's to say if he will be given leverage

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
Have you seen some of the potential candidates?
http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/inter-still-examining-other-names-as-meeting-with-pioli-is-scheduled.

At the same time the Chinese owners will be in Italy, and not by coincidence that the meetings have been set for then. The ownership will have the final say over the choice. Pioli appears the most solid, but under consideration by Suning are also Hiddink, Marcelino, Tata Martino, Vitor Pereira and Villas-Boas (who is not convinced about a switch to Italy)

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
Ronald De Boer, Frank's brother says the job was to big for Frank. To many talented players. What I said.
"The Inter squad contains 29 players with the average age of 27,” the former Netherlands and Ajax star wrote in Voetbal International. “These are footballers that have made their mark in top football and you have to keep them happy. Most of them are internationals for their country and earn top salaries. The size of the squad has had a major impact for my brother."

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
I mean they're changing managers far too regularly obviously but yeah with that squad they should be top 5 barring horrific luck but they are just plain terrible. They have zero identity. But they need to pick a manager and let them have 2 years min to create a team in his own image ffs let the man work

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
LVG would be unreal. Blanc would be decent I guess.
AVB isn't a fraud, turned it around at Zenit IIRC. He wouldn't be the worst.
Disagree that some random Serie A manager like Guidolin etc would be good. They've had plenty of those and it's never worked out. They need a top manager. Moyes will be available soon.

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
I think the problem was that the Chinese were becoming more concerned that Inter was heading for relegation under de Boer, not just missing European spots. Maybe relegation was highly unlikely, maybe they might have stopped losing, but we don't know how the Chinese think.

Some Italian press are saying Bielsa. That comes with a lot of baggage though. Louis Vuitton baggage maybe.

If I was Inter staff I would keep an eye on Simone Inzaghi for next season.

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
Im curious at what you guys think, or what you would say, if we kept mancini? Because it was evident that he would've gone half way through the season anyways... the man had no intention of carrying on at all with the new management and was sulking throughout pre season, it is a *bleep* and the appointment of de boer in the first place was the wrong decision so now what? Get pioli or hiddink and by january next season (2018) they will almost certainly be gone because they want simeone.. when that falls through because psg sacked emery, he will go to psg... only thing separating whats happening now and what was happeneing in the period before this is the quality of the team

Re: De Boer Sack Watch
Inter should ask themselves what they want and by when, contact Simeone, and go from there. If they can get Simeone to commit for summer 2017 then I'd go for someone like Pioli or Guidolin to hold the team up until the summer. If Simeone is not gonna be possible then get someone like Blanc or AVB.

Also its well past time that a big club gets Donadoni, I'm convinced he would do well. Its just that probably it would be difficult to get him in mid season.

No the mistake was hiring him without a pre season and with him having little say into transfers...rincon wrote:I don't understand the uproar about sacking De Boer. The mistake is not sacking him, the mistake was hiring him in the first place.
