Alves still being the top right back in the world
He arguably is tbh, not there is any competition.

Alves surely still a top 5 right back alongside Lahm, Bellerin, Carvajal and Rafinha

Yeah he's definitely still in the conversation at least, the idea he stopped being good 5 years ago is a myth. Just because he stopped being insane doesn't mean he's still not being better than most.

Fullbacks in general sadly, I'm not even sure I know why.
You would have thought that the quality would have increased with more people using them as a means for width and general play than ever.
But the opposite happened weirdly.

Not saying he still isn't good, but I'd take Bellerin, Carvajal and Darmian over him any day tbh.
I know right RG, went onto Fifa database to see if there are any decent RB's I may have missed and it's still the same lads from 3-5 years ago being highly rated bar Darmian who was pretty average for us last season

Herrera been watching youtube highlights from 5 years ago
and Valencia isn't even the best right back at Utd smh
Two games has already made you incredibly delusional.
Alves is a better footballer than 60% of the players of your team. Perhaps even more if I'm being polite.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 2
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is impatiently waiting on the close of the transfer window to be rid of the fixation over spending on new recruits.
'You don’t believe for a second in things like improvement on the training pitch.'
Moreno/Milner at LB for the rest of the season

Well despite the fact they do need a LB he isn't wrong.
People in England are absolutely obsessed with spending money on new players and think it solves everything and think the training and coaching is completely irrelevant.
