I think they should extend the deadline so they can spread around the misery.

Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Fullbacks in general sadly, I'm not even sure I know why.
You would have thought that the quality would have increased with more people using them as a means for width and general play than ever.
But the opposite happened weirdly.
The thought there seems right, but I would argue that it's actually the increased use if fullbacks in attack and for width as well as for defense that has exposed them.
The increased role of fullbacks in today's game has made the position a very difficult one. You have to have a third set of lungs, be composed in the opponents half, be able to cross the ball, be adventurous yet also cautious etc. All the while you're still expected to be part of the defense, be able to win 1v1, play offside on attackers, track the runs of your man, be positionally sound etc
Not that fullbacks who focus on defense today are forgotten (Monreal is a good player), but that they no longer are classified among the best. It's a good and bad time to be a fullback.

we will probably sign him next summer tbh, he's a united fan
I'm super confident Greizmann will be our next big signing next summer. Comes across as a fan of Utd, and I know his bro supports United, too.
Woody will make it happen

Liverpool are considering allowing Mamadou Sakho to go out on loan as they look to get the defender back on track.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 2
it don't matter who Liverpool have at CB. the way we play leaves them badly exposed and that's the problem. we start the game with
coutinho...firmino...Sturridge
gini...Henderson...Lallana
then the fullbacks bomb on so we end up with 7 players attacking. when we lose the ball we have Henderson and the 2 CB left to defend. now benteke has gone whats the point in boming the fullbacks forward if a team parks the bus. we have no one that can feed off crosses. but as soon as we lose the ball its game over. just bad tactics imo. we have players that should easy break down the bus parking teams. but the wrong tactics kills us.

Pretty much.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Well despite the fact they do need a LB he isn't wrong.
People in England are absolutely obsessed with spending money on new players and think it solves everything and think the training and coaching is completely irrelevant.
Still remember the jizzfest after we had signed Moreno
We have signed enough players for this window imo. Too many signings in a short period of time does not really end well. It is upto Klopp to make the most out of Moreno/Milner which is arguably a better option that buying a new LB at this point.. that can wait

Moreno and milner for LB. someone pls kill me. not even david moyes would start the season with them 2 at leftback. I like klopp he is a nice guy and I love his passion for the game. but if after 8 months and 2 transfer windows if he thinks Moreno and milner are fit to play LB then he is crazy. week after week we will all face palm at how bad Moreno is at defending. how on gods green earth can klopp not see it. trust me Moreno will get klopp the sack. he has to be the worst defender ive ever seen. he is so bad it has to be a joke.

Not comparing, But didn't you pay 30m for him and he hasn't averaged 10 games a season.
Will he finally have a chance to live up to his record teenager fee or will he join the Andy Carroll contingent? ( Perks include being in Art's fantasy team )

Did you know that Kloppo turned a failed forward from Hertha into a pretty capable RB at Dortmund? Trust in Klopp - if he sees something in the guys you have, he will manage to tickle the best out of them.

Moreno/Milner at LB for the rest of the season
Sounds suspiciously like Wenger

It's pretty funny, in a sad way, that Liverpool haven't won the league in 25 years, haven't been a top 4 team for the better part of a decade, but their fans never seem able to wait even one week.

you tried to preach similarly even when Rodgers was in charge
no one is asking for Klopp to get sacked. I think most of the fans are just worried that defensively we are still not that good.
I think as soon as Can or Lucas and Matip will be back, we should look better. Our fullbacks are forced to play such passes (the one against Burnley from Clyne resulting into the first goal) because our midfield is shit. I think Klopp is still trying to find out the balanced midfield, attacking way and defensive both.
