2016/17 CL Playoff: AS Roma v FC Porto
Date: August 17
Not the easiest draw, especially with Roma having a defensive crisis with Rui and Rudiger injured, they have to rely on JJ/Fazio/Vermaelen. That being said, looking at Porto's whoscored page, they finished 3rd in Dani league, their top scorer is a guy named Vincent Aboubakar with 13 goals, from the name i can effectively tell you his pace and strengh are 80+. I can confidently say Roma will come out on top.

Our defense
The rest of the team I'm not worried about, but if anything, this might end up being a high scoring affair.
If we can get by Porto, I can see a QF run at the least.

Roma has been having a defensive crisis for like 4 seasons.
I think their midfield and attack will manage the tie. Loved the leverkusen games last season.

A combination of misfortune and mismanagement. Not even gonna even try to determine which one weighs over the other.
That and I'm pretty sure the free clinics here in Detroit are better than the medical team Roma have.

Porto aren't too sharp in the Defensive department either. I expect the goals to come from Roma only because at least they seem to be able to withstand the Porto attack a bit better than Porto against Roma's.

JESUS is starting for Roma, so this should be a cakewalk for them, a parting of the Red Sea so to speak...

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Roma as Porto has a larger UEFA coefficient than Gladbach. If four of the teams with a larger coefficient fail, then Gladbach can get into Pot 3 if they qualify for the CL group stage ^^

Don't think they can keep a clean sheet today. I'm thinking 3-1 Roma

Same. Only reason Porto got a point last time was because of the red card. If they stay with 11 it should be a good win.

they are not capable of a clean sheet. A lot of game to play for still though.

Every tournament should be seeded until the end imo. At the very least, until the QF stage. But nooooooooooo... makes too much sense for football bureaucracy to do it.
Same thing for having auto video review of PKs or FKs that are right on the edge of being a PK.
