btw, i have nothing against him, seen him play at valencia, he's not a scrub, but the transfer fee is mind blowing, even if we are buying him from valencia. i know, we need another midfielder, but come on, we could have used 60 million on a decent back up dm and a decent co-forward than morata, or a decent lb instead of bringing back coentrao, who you guessed it....is injured.

It's not true. Fee is 35m upfront while 20m is through guaranteed add ons making it a 55m euros deal.

Also you never get a number even close to what a signing is actually paid for from Barca based news outlets. They always report it to be at least €40mill less than what they actually paid. Maybe to make themselves feel better for actually blowing us out of the market despite being a so called "mesque un club"

If Valencia wanted 60mill from us there is no reason why they didn't want the same for Barca. Montoya won't change much as he is worth zilch and wouldn't even start for them as Cancelo is better

I think 40M is the fee we gave up front the other 20M will be if we win La Liga/CL or he gets into La Liga team of the year, CL team of the year, Ballon D'or etc.
