Great pass by Lallana to play Vardy in. He needs to play 10 every game.

Spain just picked us open lol. Don't think this'll stay 1-0 for very long.

It's funny how going to the Euros the general consensus was that England had some great strikers. Now - with Vardy being revealed to be a scrub, Rooney even more past it, Sturridge off-form / past it / can't be bothered any longer and Kane being limited in all ways as he's always been - England's striking options are looking pretty shit.

Carroll can't be recalled soon enough.

Half-time.

A refreshingly good half from us. A team actually following tactical instructions and doing it well. Showing menace on the counter as well.

This way of playing suits our players. No idea why they didn't try it at the Euros.

Because the Euros were the Euros and this is a friendly. England have no problem with performing in friendlies.

I'm not talking about performance though. I'm talking about style of play.

2-0. Bullet header from Vardy.

Good to have a big friendly win to celebrate before the inevitable disappointment at the next tournament.

Beating the Siesta Boys in a friendly is about as relevant as beating Finland in a competitive game, tbh.

Thomas Muller was right. Liverpool fans will be furious having to play these little teams who hack and foul, only to lose a player like Lallana to injury!

I didnt see the game, I honestly hope the injury is not bad.

Am I the only one who thinks this Rooney alcohol thing is hugely overblown?

Stan collymore went as far as saying that Rooney is drinking because he can't handle the fact he is past his prime Laughing

It's a big deal because this is the most professional era of players ever and everyone expects footballers to live with strict discipline. It's only natural people conclude that heavy drinking may be responsible for Rooney's rapid decline over the years.

But yes, it is overblown. Players get up to all types of dodgey shit. A few drinks in a hotel is nothing by comparison.
