You mean you weren't convinced by all those random London lads that these players are actually good?

Also, good to know that in case of injury we can count of recently relegated Jake Livermore and 21-year-old Lewis Cook but not Jack Wilshere or Jonjoe Shelvey.

I’m looking at the England MF and thinking Milner would walk straight into the team.

You and Firenze would tbh, until it turns into Dyer and Bowyer fighting each other on the pitch anyway.

That is a pretty dire squad. England desperately need some young creative players.

We have them. They're just too young at the moment and haven't played many first team minutes at club level.
Phil Foden at City and Mason Mount at Chelsea are the main ones to look out for.

Defense is alright if you don't listen to Mole (one shouldn't), it is a nice attack as long as you pretend Welbeck isn't there but that midfield, dear God. Clearly England has no intention of ball retention and would just be using wing play. Or whatever.

Some disgusting choices there. Southgate OUT. Least hyped I've ever been going into an international tournament in my entire life, in terms of results.
Only 60% convinced we'll win it now. INGERLAND.

Re: The Three Lions
Tbf if you're English, a midfielder and play in any of the first 3 divisions in the country you're probably looking at that list and feeling harshly treated. Absolute state.
Did Milner officially retire? shame, would have been big for us this summer IMO.

Re: The Three Lions
Yeah Milner has performed well all season and at a higher level considering he's about to play the *bleep* CL final so he should be at least in the squad one would think

Re: The Three Lions
Doesn't really make a difference though does it? We are still going out in the 2nd round max regardless of who is picked.
There's just not a lot of talent available atm.

Re: The Three Lions
there's so much talent though in attack - Sterling, Rashford, Kane, Alli, even Lingard
At a younger age, Sancho looks like a true world beater, probably a bigger talent than all of the above
strange that there's no young central midfielders of note?
Or is there I just don't know them?
edit: Jay names Foden, ok he's Sancho's age. Bad timing, another year or two and those would be part of the squad

Re: The Three Lions
Talent in attack is the only area which is competitive, the rest is so bad compared to what's required it doesn't matter.
Also it's likely only 3 of them will be on the pitch at any one time.

Re: The Three Lions
What a terrible squad. Mediocrity everywhere.
But at least this squad probably knows that and won't try to be more than they are. And there is no hype at all. So hopefully some grit and steel performances against panama and Tunisia carries us to the next stage.

Even that's deceptive. Sterling is all right, but lacks technically. Swap him to Stoke and it'd be 50-50 whether he'd be getting a call-up. Depends on others too much.
Rashford is like Sterling with slightly better finishing and slightly worse acceleration.
Kane is of course legit, but Alli is a poacher AM and Lingard is actually quite all right but nothing more.
Basically none of them are creative players and that's what England really needs. Most of them will score the odd chance but the question is who creates it?

Rashford is an awful finisher man, makes Sterling look like Salah in that department tbh.

Re: The Three Lions
Yeah Rashford can decieve with a really impressive finish now and then but in front of goal in general he is poor, worrying because Kane has been in meh form for a while and Sterling hasn't really shined outside of City and is still wasteful himself

I refuse to believe that England have managed to produce actually a worse finisher than Sterling who still makes it to the World Cup.
Then again, I welcome all Rashford bashing, for he is shite.
