Tie of the round for me. Germany dominated Slovakia while Italy comprehensively beat Spain. Germany go in as the the defending world champions and having the best team on paper while Italy has history on their side.

Italy would be the favourites for the competition considering how they set up if Marchisio and Verratti weren't injured.
But part of me does believe their lack of individual quality will show up at some point, although i don't think this is the game and leaning towards Italy beating the Germans AGAIN.

I don't care about precedents encounters or "schwarze beast", they are better than us in every single department. We have clear weaknesses that just haven't been exposed yet. Solid Deutschland win IMO.

I just think any team coached by Löw, no matter how good it is, will fall into any trap that plays on it's naivité.
We will definitely be tactically outmaneuvered, and Löw will be outcoached. It remains to be seen if our superior quality players will be enough to remedy that. I doubt it, sadly. Should've been the final, IMHO.
