Yes it can be paid in two instalmemts. And yes Icardi would be a great option as well. Dybala Icardi could get 50 goals between the two of them.

I dont want Higuain for 94m. Better to spend the money on James or Isco... We seriously need to replace Pogba if he's gone, because our midfield is shit right now with having Pjanic as the only reliable name.

but we already have guys like PJANIC and DYBALA so we don't really need too much ISCO or james

We have great attackers already, but our MF is really unstable. Khedira and Marchisio injured, sturaro pereyra lemina back ups.... :/

Thought i was among the few that rated Brozovic. Would agree.

Along with Pogba, i'm expecting Pereyra, Hernanes and perhaps Lemina to leave.

Diawara looks really legit but he is being a real prick to Bologna this summer, not sure that Juve will go for him for now. He is also too raw at 19yo. Would be good, but I'd prefer Brozovic, really young and with plenty of experience and talent.

I think Matic and someone more creative would give us the best balance in midfield. With Pogba leaving (who really was the sole creative force in the middle last season), our only creative player in the middle is Pjanic- who is actually better at creating chances than Pogba.

Matic is the perfect vice Marchisio and also a vice Khedira, the transfer screams Juventus because he seems like such a great fit right now.

What I hope, is we don't spend too much time on the midfield when we still want an attacker. I hope for some quick business.

Agreed. Also apologies if i may have appeared too hostile in the other thread. After losing Pogba, when i saw names like Bernardeschi mentioned, i kind of freaked out. Not to say he isnt a bad player but imo we need some proven quality in midfield right now before we think about players like him.

Its alright, edgy times when Pogba is about to leave. We are most likely not getting Bernardeschi, but he is better than most names we are linked to. Also Italian, which at Juve means they are very unlikely to ever force a move Vidal/Pogba style.

Thats how I feel when I see Andre Gomez, 60mill for a player that has shown so little consistency. He got benched in Portugal's less then stellar midfield by a 18 year old, W. Carvalho and Joao Mario. Its an absurd prospect.

I don't even wanna get into Sissoko.

Napoli won't buy Pereyra from us now for sure. Hernanes hopefully he will leave for a price.

As for Matic, we need someone better, much better, someone who can make us feel we haven't lost Pogba. Sissoko and Witsel are not satisfying me either.

It's hard to upgrade on either Marchisio or Khedira who are both fantastic in their roles. We just have to play around their injuries- one long term and one always a risk. Matic is perfect in relief of both, a real physically strong player in the middle. I think he would do amazing in Allegri's 3-5-2 and allows Pjanic to focus on creating.

Then I would look for a creative midfielder for the bench that can rotate with Pjanic. Someone Hernanes is supposed to be but isn't because he doesn't create any chances, only tears of sorrow from my eyes.

Then move 1-3 midfielders out.

Brozovic or Kovacic (to make a mini Croatian national team within Juve), Mata, Gabigol and Higuain...

Sell Zaza, Pererya, Hernanes, Lemina...

Mercato closed...

Sadly i think we can't replace Pogba, at least not this summer. So we might as well keep most of the money for the next transfer window. Pjanic is a world class player that we did not have last season, so we should wait to know how it goes with him instead of Pogba.

I also trust Pereyra and Lemina to be solid, they are nowhere near Pogba's level, but i suppose they will have their chance in some matches from now on. Pereyra had a bad season but the year before he was amazing, and for Lemina, i don't see major flaws in his game. He seldom played but was actually quite decent as far as i'm concerned.

However,

- Matic
- Ramires

Would be the ones i bid for, in this order. if not possible, then ok... our present squad minus Pogba is still Serie A champions before match day 35

Ramires is 29 and plays in China and for the club that owns Inter no less

Pogba was also untouchable for us. From now on all these "100% staying" statements from any clubs i consider it as dog shit. Any player who wants to play for another club absolutely can, even more so if the said player is a star.

I did not know Ramires' club was own by the Inter owners. In fact, i don't even know what club he plays for lol.
We are only talking suggestions, so as you probably realized i often throw a odd name in those lists i make. Ramires is the guy this time. I think highly of him and his style of play would be something very useful because he is pretty much solid all-around and has lots of stamina. Being 29 is not a big deal imo, he is probably rusty because of the Chinese League... it's not like he is 36 after all.

I agree with that, to a certain extent- regarding a player's ability to leave a club.

But you also have to be able to offer that player something the current club cannot.

Verratti:

In PSG, he has Paris, a wonderful city, a wonderful team, all the money he can earn and a shot at multiple trophies each season, including the Champions League with an ambitious squad of players.

Juventus can offer him a slightly better league, maybe equal wages or slightly more (but PSG would match or beat that surely), and the same attempts at trophies but also a return to Italy.

The thing is, with Verratti specifically because I do follow him quite a bit at PSG, they love him there and he loves to be there. Juventus could surely try and I think it would be an incredible signing but we also have to be realistic and reasonable, were not going to write a blank cheque and to a club like PSG, it wouldn't matter, it would come down to Verratti himself wanting to go and for this season, I think he stays put.

Matic seems very reasonable and very realistic in terms of his qualities, price and likeliness to leave and as you see Ramires, I see Matic as an absolute perfect signing for Juventus. He would be a very strong physical presence in the midfield to act as a vice Marchisio/Khedira option.

Ramires is probably making some sort of stupid amount of money in China, money I'm sure we wouldn't pay. He made a financially motivated move and his career is basically over in Europe.

A name I'm surprised we haven't seen linked to Juventus: Matuidi, he seems like a reasonable target after PSG signed Krychowiak too. What do ya'll think of him? He's like the anti-Pogba, all the energy and defensive work but lacking in technique and offense compared to Pogba, I like him as an option though.
