Jose 'Rooney will not play in midfield' Mourinho
Same as the previous two managers, doesn't have the balls to drop him. Pathetic.
Where is that PSV player Moreno who injured Shaw last season to do us a favour on you-know-who...

Can someone please explain it to me.
I just don't have the answers.
Well, first of all we need to select a proper 11. If we do that we will start seeing differences in our play, I am not saying we will win but at least we wont be painful to watch like this. Pogba and Rooney should make way for Carrick/Basti and Herrera and we will look like a different team. Pogbito needs a time on the sidelines to get into his system that he aint Messi or Ronaldo. A time out will help him.

Lol, this game was just fine. We were decent, played better than Watford, but we were a little bit uninspired and unlucky in the final third.
I am angry and jealous because we can't be lucky like other teams. Best example at the moment is Arsenal... Even Watford played better than Arsenal and still lost.
In this match, they scored at every big chance they had. I feel sad for the players that were obviously frustrated by the way the ref whistled today.
Watford's first goal was a joke. That was a clear foul at Martial. The final is score is a big lie and joke in my opinion.
I am sad for Pogba who was very close to scoring a very beautiful goal in the first half.

I agree with you Vlad. The match could have swung either way. Chelsea too fluked against Watford in the final minutes. Not an easy place to visit. Luck's been not on our side lately.
But my anger is mostly stemming from the fact that Mou let a hopelessly pathetic Wayne Rooni continue to stand on the pitch for the full 90 minutes.
If this match can pave way for some positive changes in the team selection for the long term I will take it.

In what planet did we play better than Watford? Did you hear Troy deeneys post match interview? Mazzari exewcuted his game plan to a tee and Watford had more clear chances than us. Bar the Rashford goal and the Gomes save we had no chances at all. Watford could have put 4 past us in the first half. Ighalo missed an open goal, Deenu missed etc. De Gea made the exact same mistake as Bravo yet noone will say he is not used to the EPL
Some of you guys are living in dreamland. Deeney even said that if Watford ceded the ball to United they knew we wouldn't do anyything. We are not very well coached, that's it. City and Pool are playing a different game to us. Smalling and Bailly were atrocious and the "lack of physicality" that Blind was dropped for made no difference as Deeney and Ighalo made our cbs look like a pair of school boys.
Mourinho is a counter attacking coach that can't do anything else. That is his method that hasn't change for over a decade. I don't know what else people are expecting.
Add to the fact the clown has now thrown Shaw under the bus...
I know let's splash money on more players because clearly quality is the problem
No strategy, prehistoric tactics and coaching etc when I watch City, Pool, Dortmund, Napoli and even Las Palmas I get depressed as a United fan.

Re: Manchester United 2016/2017 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
I dont think he explicitly meant we played better. But that was a match that could have gone either way. We were on the top when it was 1-1 and thanks to a mistake from pogba they very much against the run of play scored a goal. I agree in the 1st half they created greater chances than us.
City I agree. But Pool ? They arent doing anything more than what they have been doing in the past 9 months. Beat Arsenal in a ding dong match and beat chelsea who lately have been equally poor like us. They will score quite a number of goals with the attacking players they have in disposal and with Klopp at helm but they will come undone when playing against organized teams.
As I already said we will look a different team once that obvious fat scrub is shown the way out, and yesterday's match has really helped even originally pro Rooni's to turn against him. Media too it seems have started slamming him unlike in the past. And if theres any manager who will have the mettle to finally stem the rot, it has to be mourinho. He is a winner and wont let this guy singlehandedly run our club down the drain with his pathetic displays week in and week out.
And once he's dropped our counter attacks and link up plays will look a lot better.
I find it funny when people are calling out on Jose's methods to be outdated when he just lately as the season before last has lifted the title.

Jibers clearly not a fan of Mou
I have to admit, if he selects Rooney for the Leicester match, I'm going to start being concerned about him as Utd manager.
I also don't like how he tries to absolve himself from blame by throwing players under the bus. He def has lost that magic touch he had a decade ago, let's hope he regains some balls to make the big decisions like dropping Rooney- for our sake and his.

Crisis, What crisis? Knew we will be fine once the fat scrub is shown the way out. Good performance all round.

Re: Manchester United 2016/2017 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
No Rooney and suddenly we look more fluid and play with more tempo and balance up front.
Who woulda thought??
Pogba's first goal
3 goals from corners
Bailly, Blind and Herrera's performances
Rashford bagging another goal
So many plus points, but it's a must now that Mou sticks with this team and allow it to gel. Only change I will make is Shaw back at LB, but then again Blind absolutely bossed it there today.
Dab on, king!

Rooney is again on the bench.
Mourinho
Should've put Martial in the starting XI instead of Lingard.

@OptaJoe
13 – Man Utd have won 13 points from their opening 7 games this season; 3 fewer than at this stage of 2015/16 under Louis van Gaal. Normal.

Of course. We were top of the league this stage last year. Where did we finish btw ?
And the football not being boring is another added plus obviously.

TBF, we created enough chances to bury that game. We need to be more clinical. Still waiting for Miki to get fit.

Atrocious starting 11. Like I mentioned in the general thread. Feels like its Moyes all over again. Both Young and Valencia back in the scheme of things and his love child Fellaini thrust in the middle of the park.
There will be serious questions asked if we lose this match heavily (which I genuinely fear about happening looking at the team sheet sadly).

Re: Manchester United 2016/2017 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Didn't lose to an in form team, away from OT. I'd take the point.
Was a crap match, but it was a typical Mou big game performance- stifle the oppo, defensive discipline and nick a goal through one clear chance, shame for us that one big chance fell to Ibra, who was wasteful in front of goal again (becoming a re-ocurring theme, that).
I thought Ander had a brilliant match, clear MOTM...close 2nd was DDG, 2 world class saves.
Ibra was FOTM (flop of the match).
Makes me more frustrated that we dropped points against Stoke but we can atone for that by beating Chelsea next week, which we are more than capable of doing.

Interesting to see if Conte persists with 3-4-3 which has worked well for them in the last few matches. United have a bit of pressure coming into the game so I can't really see them being defensive but at the same time Mourinho won't really forget his big game tactics.
A possible draw for me
