Re: Death Stranding
It's so amusing that Mads Mikkelsen is always a bad guy in American projects and such. Meanwhile he's always a good guy in Danish projects Don't know why

Well Freeza, lets admit he has the face for that. Sinister and chiseled in that way that can be moulded perfectly for a villain. I have noticed he has a more earthy and lighter look in Danish films like hair covering his face etc which makes the difference. Fantastic actor regardless.
As for the trailer I thought I had an idea based on the 1st trailer which was masterful but this second one has blown it wide open. Kojima definitely has set the bar high and I truly cannot imagine how the gameplay can be. Either will be a phenomenal game or a complete catastrophe.

Yeah that's true. His face is absolutely perfect for a villain, especially when you put make up scars on it

Re: Death Stranding
I don't know if I agree with the face part. Our opinions may differ because how we first encountered him and how he's portrayed in the movies.
I consider him a top 10 actor, so he could play anything good or bad for me. But I think the face part is mostly due to makeup and the connotations we get when we watch him.

Also. Are we gonna get a single clue about what this game is about before it comes out?

Kojima is a massive fan of breaking bad (as he is of Hannibal) so I am hoping Bryan Cranston makes a Cameo in this as well

Rumours going around that the engine he's using is called Decima.
Which apparently is a modified version of Guerrilla's engine.
This has been confirmed true btw by Sony, considering how great Horizon looks seems like a good choice by Kojima.

I feel like such a hipster for saying this, but I love how refreshingly different and creative that looks compared to all the copy/paste, cookie cutter crap the likes of EA and the allegedly underrated, Ubisoft are churning out these days.

At least those companies actually release games.
Honestly don't get the hype tbh, it's another meaningless trailer which wastes everyone's time and does nothing but mislead the public while doing nothing to explain what the game is.

Yeah, Ubisoft released a ton of forced open world games since the end of last year and more than half of those games were commercial flops
Regarding the trailer, I agree to some extent that these teaser- type trailers with no actual gameplay footage are generally pretty pointless. This is a game that may not even get a release date for 2018, though. Something is better than nothing, and although the wtf? factor of the content was to be expected, it's also a reminder that there are still developers out there that aren't forced to design their game with profit in mind.
Someone already mentioned in the general games thread that it looks like a make or break- type game. Well, I think that's great. That's typically what happens when developers aren't being shackled by triple A publishers. They're hit or miss, but they tend to be fantastic when they get it right. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony have yet another memorable exclusive on their hands with this game.

Re: Death Stranding
That would be fine if we hadn't already been through this exact same thing with Death Stranding 3 times already.
I have zero interest in seeing this game now until you have something relevant to show.
Wish they would just shut up and work on the game tbh, anyone else other than Kojima would be ridiculed for this it's getting ridiculous now.

Not gonna lie. It looks trash.
But it's Kojima so the story should be good at least.

Fully agree. The story looks like it has potential, because I like cosmic horror, but when did we find out about this again? E3 2016? Been a year and a half and we keep getting these cinematic trailers that leave us as confused as before. Show some gameplay you pos's. Expecting this to be late 2019 or something tbh.
