I will day 1 buy it but probably won't play it.

most I've read have said the story seems good, more MGS4 than V, with lengthy cutscenes and well fleshed out

but the gameplay gets boring fast, probably a lot of ppl trolling like they've played it though

Heard there are over 400 side missions....

but i am assuming they are just deliveries lol.

If the game is even half of MGS4 then we are in for a treat. I have read that the open world is closer to BOTW and RDR2 than MGS5.

Kojima is my top 3 dev of all time but i am not hyped about this at all and this is why i am not itching to play it.


If it was bloodborne 2 or DS4 though....

Will you get it on PC?

I will wait for PS4 reviews first but if I ever get it, it will have to be on PC. Tbh the only reason I bought my PS4 was to play Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 and still waiting on the latter after 7 years

I have watched a dozen trailers, including this 7+ minute launch trailer and still don't know what is going on in this game.

Judging by the trailers, the game play itself doesn't look very promising as I have yet to encounter shootings or stealth mechanics. But regardless of the game play, this game is going to have a cult following and real philosophical value. It will also divide opinions.

And also it seems like one of those movies you have to watch twice to gather what happened.

Well can't judge the game until it gets released but from what i've seen so far i feel Kojima is pushing it too far with the story and it's coming off as too pretentious. complicated stories aren't necessarily a bad thing though as long as it make sense and pays off well in the end and not leaving questions unanswered.

Ok serious talk about #DeathStranding reviews: be careful what you click on. This is a game that is VERY easily spoiled, so, you know, take care and all that.

Also, I recommend setting up a few blocked words in YouTube so you don't get spoiled by jerk-bag thumbnails.

As expected, very divisive reviews for far. IGN gave it 6.8, Gamespot gave it 9.

The reviews overall seem closer to the gamespot one than the IGN as the average currently sits at 86.

As the credits roll on Death Stranding, heavy with unearned pathos, the impression you're left with is of a self-congratulatory monument to the ego of a creator who is high on his own supply.

take out Kojima's name and it probably rewiews in the 70s on metacritic

I'll get it eventually but with Destiny 2 grind still in high gear, Outer Worlds and then Pokemon and Star Wars in 2 weeks.

I don't really have time for it right now.

after watching a bunch of reviews, yeeeeah. I think I'm gonna skip it, not worth the timesink. Gonna play Outer Worlds instead.

MGSV had great gameplay and shit everything else, this? this just looks exceptionally boring. Like I'd be better off just watching the cutscenes. The gameplay looks so damn monotonous.

Kojima is a hack

It just looks like Kojima wanted to make something completely different to his previous games.

I don't think i will get it for a while since i can't put in 20 mins in a game nevermind 90. Maybe blackfriday/christmas

This is Kojima's worst game critically. MGS 1-4+Peace Walker were all great games. 5 was an unfinished mess though. So yeah still, he is far from a hack.

Don't know why he made this a walking simulator. Especially after he talked about how much he loves Uncharted and wants to make a similar action game a few years ago.
