I'm cool with the trolls. What pisses me off are the ancient ones. Invulnerability and projectiles that 2 shot you are cancer.

Throw your axe when he opens it up then chuck the grenade stuff at it.
It's pretty easy to avoid.

Of course I know how to beat them. The problem is that you have to play that game while there are 5 other guys coming at you and 2 hits from the ancient one kill you.
It's just the most annoying kind of fight. The lava ones specially when they go volcano mode in the middle of a fight with a bunch of people.

I'll be honest I have never had issues with them.
The ones that annoy me the most is the Elves lol.

Aren't you playing in normal?
Things get a lot more delicate in hard. It's great though the game feels better, the right amount of challenge imo.

what an absolute aids of a boss fight. Terrible design. Entire room has an issue with bad collision detection. One single health stone to last the fight against someone that one shots you

Re: God of War
The elves were hard at first but then I got used to them.
One of the biggest problems I had were the nightmares possessing the heavy draugr in big fights towards the beginning.

Boss fights are pretty much my only disappointment so far. Nothing like the old GOWs. They made great encounters in general and skimped on the bosses.

That would be relevant if I was actually getting hit tbf
That Ancient enemy I barely get touched against tbh. But I have heard that difficulty is very close to the poiht of unfair.
Normal feels challenging to the point if I make mistakes I'll die but not unfair in it's design.

Its not them alone that its hard. Its them in a group of enemies when all attacks do so much damage. All they do is draw out the fight because you can only hit them in small windows while dealing with everyone else. Its a boring fight.

Re: God of War
I just use Atreus arrows to keep them away. Don't get me wrong I do die to it but I don't get frustrated by it tbh.
I haven't been frustrated by any combat scenario in the game purely because of how satisfying the combat feels tbh.
Never enjoyed combat to this level before. Actually there are enemies that have frustrated me but I won't talk about that lol.

Re: God of War
The combat is great. The skills are well thought out too. I thought I would stick to the basics but the skills help too much in every situation. Up to where I am my only complaint are the bosses. That used to be a hallmark of the series. To this point they are all forgettable. They put so much detail into everything it seems weird that they just throw re-skinned enemies as bosses.

Re: God of War
Tbh I don't consider the likes of trolls bosses tbh, they are mini bosses where as the stranger is a boss fight.
Based on that I can't say I've faced a boss fight which disappointed me.

Has anyone fought Sigrun? the Valkyrie Queen? awful boss, one of her attack is like 15-25% of your life, and she barely takes damage

Dunno about that but i just did the one at the top of Muspelheim, god he was a *bleep* *bleep*.
Felt really good to finally kill it though, the animation they do expressed my feelings towards it accurately.
- Spoiler:
- can't wait until you fight the queen then. Some one them are a real problem, there is that summons grunts, honestly I don't know how I beat her. You basically have to learn their attacking pattern and grind it out slowly for 10 minutes.
Now imagine doing that 10 times in a row vs the queen, you eat her attacks 5-6 times it's done. Her stomp
You basically need to max out the stats lol

- I've basically been working with level 4 or 5 gear this whole time lmao, didn't realise how under levelled I was until I faced that Valkyrie.
My current goals are basically just to upgrade everything until I can actually compete with most of the Valkyries.
I suspect I'll still be playing this game for a long time

- just finished the story too, a bit disappointed because i was expecting Thor to show up at some point but it's ok. phenomenal game. I guess we lose Kratos in the next game vs Odin and Atreus grows up?
Or Odin kills the dad, takes Loki in as a son, and he grows up to kill Odin?

- Spoiler:
- Just got to Helheim. Athena's entrance on the boat and house was great. Really creepy. I'm wondering where the blades of chaos came from since those were lost in GOW1. Don't spoil it though. Magni and Modi were proper bosses finally, that was a great fight.
